All but one kids shampoos we have tried for my daughter make her eyes sting even without getting any in her eyes. The only one we have tried that does not is Johnson and Johnson's Buddies shampoo which is really for toddlers, and DD is almost 10. Besides, it does not foam up very well which makes washing here hair more difficult and we end up using a lot for her long hair, making it rather expensive.

Anyone else have this problem with your kids? What shampoo do you use? :confused3

give her a pair of swim goggles for her eyes.:thumbsup2

I never occurred to me to have her use swim goggles since it is not about the shampoo actually running into her eyes. It doesn't have to get into her eyes to sting them, but I guess we could try it. I would still like to find a shampoo that will work for her though, since I doubt it will be a grow out of it thing. This has developed and worsened over the last two years. I don't seem to have trouble with shampoos, but LOTS of other things can make my eyes sting or trigger head aches like sunscreens, perfumes, etc. So I am guessing this sensitivity is hereditary and thus here to stay unfortunately. :sad2:

If you think it could be a sensitivity thing, Suave makes a "free" shampoo and body wash. There are no dyes or fragrances in it. It's a kids product, so it's listed as tear free.
