thanks eve::MinnieMo

There's nothing to be nervous about. You should expect being there for about an hour (max hour and a half). Make sure you have your camera and your autograph book, and you will be all set. Enjoy

First, don't feel dumb. A character meal is just like any other meal at Disney, except you'll see characters wandering about as you dine. Depending on where the characters are when you are seated, they may stop by to greet you before or after you hit the buffet.

If they are not near your table, then head to the buffet for some food. However, if they are close by when I'm first seated, I'll hang around.

The characters come to each table, pose for pictures, "talk" with you, maybe offer a hug or pat on the head. My experience at CP is that they wander around a lot, so they may get back to your table more than once!

Have your camera ready. Decide who will take the pictures and who will pose. It's ok to stand and talk to the characters, even give them a hug.

Have fun!!

Expect fun, good food, and excellent service. CP is my favorite character meal.

When you arrive, you'll check in outside. After a few minutes the CM's will call your name, and you'll be led to your table. When your server gets your drink order, you can dig in to the buffet.

Ask the pancake chef for Mickey pancakes for the boys. There are plenty of food choices, but they cater to children very well, with fruit and cereal choices, mini donuts, muffins, character waffles, etc.

There are four characters, generally, Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore. One (last year Piglet, year before Pooh) waits by the food service area for people to come up and take a photo. The other three come to each table and visit with your group. Have the cameras and autograph books ready! They ask that you don't interrupt other groups as they are visiting with the characters.

If you are waiting too long for a character, or just missed one as you were seated, let your server know, and they'll bring a sign to your table that alerts that character that you've been waiting/missed.

Don't miss the beautiful dried flower arrangements as you enter the CP.

Have a magical time!

Another little tip is to have your child/children sitting on the end of the table or closer to the aisle where the characters will have "easier" access to them.

also unless your kids are not like mine were, don't expect them to eat much..ours were always too excited...so plan on something later when they are hungry.

maybe due to more "sue happy"people it seems like the interaction is not as rowdy/good as it used to be...chip and dale espec. were down right" bad", chasing our kids around the table, pushing their chairs all over the rest,.ect which the kids loved of course ! maybe that is a no no now( or I just haven't seen it myself, don't know)

This is my son at Crystal Palace when "Tigger" surprised him with magic pixie dust. (Mickey head confetti) This was thanks to our wonderful waiter! You will find many magical moments at the character meals.

thank you all for taking the time to reply::yes::
i'm sure that we will have a great time and that i am in a panic for nothing:D
