I have a couple of questions: We are staying at the BCV in June of next year with another family. What type of 2 bedroom should I request or should I go with just 2 studios? What type of studios are there? We have only stayed at OKW, but have just bought at BCV.

In December I will be booking 5 studios at BCV during the 11mth out for the end of Nov. and the first of Dec.--if I am able to change that for 5 studios at OKW at the 7month out ---will all points be put back into my account? What if I had to borrow a couple to make the BCV ressies and did not need them once I am able to make the OKW ones---would those be put back then or from the year I borrowed from? Hope this makes since! Just still confused about banking and borrowing---
Thanks

The advantages of the 2 bedroom over the 2 studios in my mind are 1) kitchen - we save money and time with a few meals this way 2) living room, for meeting and talking with being in someones bedroom 3) no phone calls of "are you ready yet"

As for the points, if you switch to OKW any points will be returned to you. Borrowed points can not be put back, but you can specify to use the borrowed ones first and than bank the current year points. Hope that makes sense.

Good luck
Sandy

Thanks--I not thought about using borrowed first and then banking the rest.

There is only one type of studio at BCV - 356 square feet if my memory is correct and one Queen Bed and one roll away sofa bed

As noted the advantage of a 1BR/2BR is having a kitchen

If you had enough points, consider one 1BR and 1 Studio to at least have a kitchen/living room available

The other advantage to a one or two bedroom is the washer/dryer right there in the unit. I love that feature even more than the kitchen (although that is great, too). It means I can pack much less clothing!

Good point CarolMN, makes packing really easy and light if you are flying in

Go for the 2 bedroom. Remember you can only get 2 beds in the studios at OKW. There are a few at BCV but none at BWV. If that is a need you will need to stay at OKW. Also the kitchen and washer and dryer are a must for us. We like the option to eat in if we are tired and wash clothes when needed. We always take extra people and the living area is great for gathering. I don't know how many are going in Dec but maybe a GV would work for you. You may be able to get one at 7 months at OKW. It is great when you have many going and want a large place to gather.

Although we did cook a few meals in our 1BR this past week, I liked having the washer and dryer even more! It was great to be able to throw a load of towels or clothes into the washer before we left for a park. Then when we returned for lunch I would dry the clothes or hang them up. I always hate having to go to the laundry room when we are on vacation.

I would get a 2BR. We had the 1BR and found it inconvenient since DS was sleeping on the sofa and his friend was on an Aero bed so we didn't want to make too much noise in the morning (DH & I are early risers).

Another advantage (in some families, like ours) is 3 TVs in a 2 BR, and also the VCR or DVD player, which I don't think any studios have. Actually in our 2 BR at OKW, I think there was also a VCR in the Main BR. Not sure, though.

How could I forget about the extra TVs and especially the extra remotes!!!! We don't watch all that much TV on vacation, but I can't stand to even be in the same room when my DH has control of the TV remote. I get whiplash just thinking about it!!! :teeth: :teeth:
