Let me tell you.I wish I had that edgy part to me.... I'm so upset right now.. I would have called you but I was crying so hard I was hyperventilating.. this person set me off and it will be a long time before I will ever deal w/ his arrogance again.. the only reason he didn't get an earful is for the number of kids around...but when you call a parent meeting and than cut ME off when I question something...This is what I wanted to say in response...(but I was a good girl and didn't respond.. I tightened up and tried to fight back the tears) @#@E#%#%$#%#%%#$^%$#@#$@%^%^#@J$@#J$^LKJ$^L#@J%# ^JK$J$J#LJ$ ! How dare you ask for involvement and than tell me as a Parent I don't understand... I think if DH could have gotten home to me he would have...

Since you are PAPER. Put the Paper to work for you! When someone steams you that much, you vent and then take the vent to paper!

I perssonally HATE condescending people.. Especially Educators! Believe me, I've dealt with a few doozies! But having worked in Coporate America "attitude central" in New York City (before kids) I can tell you that the "written word" is far more powerful than the "spoken one"

Spoken goes in one ear and out the other. Plus they can cut you off.
Written, gets the message across. And they can't hide from it. It gets filed ! Plus sometimes they have to grovel and apologize

Done correctly, you're saving face, being heard and feel better all around.
There is always the bonus that then they can't single out your kid cause you can refer back to the letter

Just where is my devil pitchfork? I've had lots of experience dealing with people such as that, only they disguise themselves as all knowing drs, and what could we unknowledgable lowly parents know. They have now learned that that _ _ _ _ _ _ woman is nice, just don't p her off.

I'm telling you Lisa.. I have NEVER had a man speak to parents the way he did..and tell us that our kids were NOT committed to the team.. WHEN our (team)boys have done double practices CC/Soccer for 3 months now...and maintained good grades and.. oh, I can go on and on...
My DH got an earful and the poor guy was near Chicago so he couldn't get home.. but one thing is for sure.. he is making my, DH's, and my DS's decisions easier and easier.. I forsee him being short a few players come the spring if what I have heard that has happened outside this meeting is true...
Why is it that know-it-alls think they "know" so much but know so little??? He even at one point said that he should be paid for what he deals with.. My thought was to throw dirt at him and say this is what I really think you are worth!
