For those who know SSR, is Congress Park still the only area open? I read there are 4 buildings. We'd prefer a view of DTD and proximity to the walkway which takes you to Rainforest Cafe. (ok, I'll come clean... it's Ghirardelli's that I'm most concerned about) Proximity to the bus stop would also be nice. Any suggestions? Those of you with a 4yo and 1yo know that every 100 yards counts.

We stayed at SSR last July and only 2 building were open. I would recommended saying you would like a DTD view. At the time we went the walk was not open. I would guess it is not something you want to do with 2 small children even with a stroller. We even drove to the main pool, that's a walk in itself. Our children were 3 and 5 then. I would take the boat service to DTD. Remember you need to save your energy whenever possible with all the walking you will do at parks and such. You might also ask on the Disney Vacation Club board for more info.

Unfortunately, I don't have a map with the building #s. However, we were in the last building, closest to the walkway, I think it was Building #4. I remember that it was closer to go to Ghiardelli's for desert from there, than it would be to go up to the Main Building. There was a quiet pool just to the left (as you face the water) and a bus stop nearby. We had a terrific view of Pleasure Island. Our studio was on the first floor, we had wanted the top floor, but it may be kind of far for little feet.
