What rides would be best to take/leave ECV

I am going to Disneyland and have to rent an ECV for stamina reasons. Is there a list of rides that have a separate HA line? And are there rides that you would suggest parking and waiting in the reg line? I would like to wait with my family in lines as much as I can. (we have a large group.) I did try to look in the FAQs, but couldn't find the info. Oh, and also, on the rides where they take you to a different loading area, is that for pple who have to stay in their chairs, or for anyone with a WC/ECV? Like I said, I would like to stay with my group as much as possible. I have no mobility problems, just can't stand or walk for long periods without feeling horrible. Any advice is welcome. I'm very anxious about using the ECV, and am trying to gather as much info as I can. TIA

ETA: I found the link to the lists of rides in the FAQ. I would still appreciate any advice though :)

How large is your group? I think the limit is 5 other people with an ECV guest. (No doubt somebuddy will correct moi if I'm wrong.) World of Color and Fantasmic both have handicapped viewing areas, but taking 20 rellies with you would be problematic.

Most "mainstream" lines will let you drive your ECV through the line so you won't have to stand in the line. That can be more exhausting than walking.

Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Splash Mtn, Big Thunder Mtn RR, Space Mtn, Tower of Terror all have separate lines for ECV's, wheelchairs. I think the Matterhorn still has a separate ECV line too but the ride was closed last time we were there so I'm not sure. BTMRR is the only ride where we had to wait longer than the regular line. It basically depends on how many other wheelchair/ECV's are waiting in the handicapped line at the time.

The Submarine ride and Buzz Lightyear ride in Disneyland and the Toy Story Mania in California Adventure are mainstreamed, meaning you drive your ECV through the line, and hope you can turn corners easily.

Well it will be me, my husband and 4 kids+ anywhere from 3-8 other family members. I know they can't all go in the HA lines, so I'm hoping to do mainstream as mush as possible. But yes, standing is usually harder on me than walking.

I suggest trying to walk in the Fantasyland ride lines. The dark rides often have short lines (except Peter Pan), and Fanstasyland is the strictest when it comes to group size. Some rides let you have a larger group (though I have never seen one larger than 10), like Pirates and Small World.

Assume that everything in DCA is mainstreamed, which means you can wait with your group. I think there are only a couple attractions where an ECV gets pulled off close to the boarding area.

In DL, Buzz, Nemo, Innoventions, Capt Eo, Matterhorn, Roger Rabbit (theoretically), Haunted Mansion, Pooh Bear, Mr Lincoln, Tiki Room, and I think one or two others are all mainstreamed. Really it will be the coasters and Fantasyland that will present the most problems in terms of keeping your group together.

Hope this helps some.

One thing to note - the attractions listed in the FAQs are at WDW.
In many cases, the similar attraction at Disneyland will still have a ‘standing wait’ because they will load in batches or have a preshow, similar to WDW.

Thank you! I'm glad you mentioned fantasyland. I was thinking about walking for that.

The disneyland post in the FAQs had a link to a page with accessibility info, and where to get on each ride and stuff. I think it might be old though.

I’m copying the DL information from post 14 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
I did follow the links in that thread and they are still the current links from the official Disney site for Disneyland.
There may be a more recent map available at the parks, but the information here is the most recent on their website.
Questions come up often enough about DisneyLAND, that I thought it was worth a section of the disABILITIES FAQs thread about DisneyLAND.
This is a link to the official Disneyland general page about touring with disabilities. On the left side of the page, you will see links to a page about Mobility, Hearing and Visual Disabilities.

This is a link to a Disneyland official printable page about mobility access at for guests with wheelchairs/ECVs or other mobility concerns.
It includes information about which rides/attractions are wheelchair accessible and what to do for access.
Disneyland is older and less accessible, although they have added accessibility as areas/attractions in the park were renovated. Disney's California Adventure was built more recently and all attractions have Mainstream (accessible) queues.

Link to the Disneyland official guide for guests with visual disabilities (including information about the handheld assistive device).

Link to Disneyland Guide to lighting effects (which may be of interest to guests with seizures if they are sensitive to strobe lights. It is not very helpful though, since it just says some attractions may have lights - but not which kinds of lights or which attractions).

The information about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) in post #6 of this thread applies to DisneyLand as well as to WDW. Some of the access is a little different at DL than at WDW since DL is an older park.

ECV and Wheelchair Rental at Disneyland:
Several people, here and on other boards, have recommended:
Deckert Surgical Supply in Santa Ana at (714) 542-5607 (I have never found a website).
Orange County Medical Supply at (714) 956-4690
Both will deliver to your resort.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean your links are old, it's Disney who doesn't have it updated. The printable mobility access one lists “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience” on it. I was actually hoping it was right because I do remember liking that show when I was a kid. LOL I imagine a lot of it is still right though, and I still plan on printing it out. Thank you :)

Not a problem - since you questioned if it was recent, I thought I would check to make sure.
