What rides to avoid for 10 yr old with motion sickness?

This may sound unproductive, but I think that Universal is not the kind of place for someone with motion sickness. Too many rides are apt to make him sick. Disney is your best bet, lots of tame rides. Or Sea World, if you like shows and animal exhibits.

I understand your POV. However I have two other kids, myself and Dh who do want to go to Universal. So I am trying to make it work for everyone.

OP, thanks for asking this question. MY Husband cannot ride star tours and we are planning to do universal next summer. He has never tried taking anything for motion sickness but will have to for universal. And I agree you don't not go somewhere because one member of the family gets motion sickness:confused3 You ask people and get tips so you can be prepared:thumbsup2

I am a motion sickness sufferer, and usually take Bonine. Even with the Bonine, I still have trouble with some rides, especially motion simulators.

The Simpson Ride - Makes me sick, so I avoid this one now.
The Men in Black Ride - Rode once, felt queasy after, so I avoid.
Despicable Me - I usually sit in the stationary seating which allows me to still enjoy the movie
Forbidden Journey - I can ride, but have to close my eyes every now and then to recover.

I know everyone is different, so your son's experiences may differ from mine.

I find that sitting in the front row of the Simpsons vehicle is a lot better for me than sitting in the back. Sitting in the back, there are too many things that I can see before the screen that throw my head off.
