What rides are NOT for a 9 year old?

Surprise!

My DS4 asked to do TOT with his grandpa and me. I was shocked. He said that he liked it, but wouldn't do it for a long while..
It made his tummy feel funny..

Weird thing is.. He didn't want to do any of these last week when daddy was with us. I think Daddy scares him..

I am so proud of him!

We got back last month, and my niece is 7 went on everything she was tall enough for, including ToT and Screaming. She loves rollar coasters etc.

My Dd has ADD. She, since 4yr old, has loved all the coasters and tot and RnR But hates ET[at Universal] she won't even watch the movie and she's 19 now!! She hated all the slow rides like the one at Epcot in the big ball and she never forgave me for taking her on the one with Figment, something Imagination. Oh and King Kong[also at Universal] in the gift shop there was a huge head that scared her and at 16 she still would not ride it or see the movie that is out now!! But she loves Mighty Joe Young?? Go figure?? Kids??

Don't dismiss anything, and don't force anything! That's our theme park motto.

My kids are daredevils, but I'm not, so they have always had the option of trying a ride with Dad or sitting it out with Mom. I ALWAYS sat alone! To the point that I have gathered my courage and tried just about everything! Now we are a family of 4 daredevils, and one converted almost-trying-still nervous-but-getting-better daredevil.

My 9 year old is wanting to know what is not going to be for him. I know Tower of Terror for sure but what else is definitely not for a kid that age?

Diana

(for Stephen)

I took my 5 and 7 year old granddaughters to Disney World over Thanksgiving and they both LOVED the Tower of Terror.

My kids were 4 and 5 when TOT opened. They did not quite like that, but did everything else - as soon as they grew big enough!!!! They're still not interested in TOT, but DD has now hit 48" so she's excited to make another trip. Screaming and Indy here she comes!!! :earsgirl:

We were there in November for the 1st time to DL. My DS7 and DS9 rode every ride. They requested to go on Screamin again and again, and they sat in the FRONT car with my DS and I behind them. They also rode tower of terrier (that's what DS5 calls it) several times. They loved all the rides. My DS7 was kinda of squemish on line, but once we got on the rides he loved them. Good Luck w/ your trip!! Have a blast!!!
