What Ride Would You Hate to Work?

This is not a ride but a job at WDW, last Dec we went to the MVMCP and were standing at the front of the barber shop where the parade route started....we saw the cute mini horses come out and this poor guy with a pail and bucket....the cute little horse took a huge restroom break right there and then and the poor guy had to clean it all up in from of all the guests.....it was gross.....I hope he gets paid the big bucks!!!

Although you feel sorry for him and his job, I feel sorry for those that had to smell it!! Hope you were sitting upwind!

Don't you know following the horses is entry level? :)

I would hate to work(cook) in any of the fast food places. Have you ever looked through opening and watched them? And then there's the people waiting to pick up the orders. That's got to be nerve racking. I would also hate any of the jobs outside.

Jungle Cruise for me! Saying the same corny jokes that hardly anyone laughs at over and over again must be excruciating. I've been on several rides that were so monotone and tired sounding. :faint:

Dumbo! Hot, long, slow lines always, toddlers, complaining parents, crying babies, preschoolers, hovering parents, toddlers, parents have I said kids and parents enough!!!!

Take it from personal experience, cleaning up human restrooms is a THOUSAND times worse than cleaning horse dung! :lmao:

TOT having a bunch of punks getting in your face as you try to stay straight faced. I bet the CMs just want to deck some people every once in a while. Some people can be so obnoxious.

The Tomorrowland raceway..a friend used to work there and said it was HOT HOT HOT in the summer.

Haunted Mansion...It would be fun, but there's no way I could keep a straight face all day long!

Honestly, I don't think there are too many jobs IN the parks that I could handle. The Tikki Room......I won't even go in there anymore!!!!

My husband worked for Disney for a few years in the accounting office in Burbank, CA. That was awesome. We got to go to the parks for free whenever we wanted, got to attend all the Disney employee fun stuff in the parks AND he got a decent salary. Disney has now outsourced their accounting dept.

Exactly what I was going to say. DD rode it yesterday morning - before 10am, and it was till hot hot hot in the "pit". That queue line is just plain hot! I commented to her as I was waiting in line with her, that it must be an awfully hot job! I did see one familar CM (the gentleman in the center of the photo with his back turned to the camera)- so I guess there must be something they like!

The Teacups! Hot weather + spinning = more time running a hose than I'd like to think about!

Teac cups are not actually that bad because you get to work by yourself and don't need to do any spieling (talking). It is hard to run fast thought when you are by yourself.

Its A Small World
that song would get to me

You forget it's even going after awhile there. When I was training a group of college students I fell in because of an error in putting one of the boats in.

Dumbo. It would be hot, hot, hot.

Dumbo is horrible because of the heat and afternoon showers--it's kind of hard to tell a line of guests who have been waiting for hours that we have to shut down because of the storm.

Also Dumbo is hard because of guest coming in the back way.

Actually, IASW isn't bad at all. You don't even hear the song after about 5 minutes.
And walking backwards- you get used to it in no time. After all, those things are going less than 1/2 a mile an hour. :)

any of the continiously moving rides that you would have to walk all day long in one place like TTA or Spaceship Earth

I would HATE its a small world. That would be equivalent of community service! Stick me on Kilemanjaro Safaris I'd never tire of the cute animals :cloud9:

I really like this thread. It was a great idea. I would HATE to work anything outside in the heat. My favorite would be either the announcer at RnR or one of the spooky people at ToT :thumbsup2

this isn't really a ride, but my friend Anthony is in the college program at disney. he said that they send all the people that arent i guess to put it nicely... up to par :rolleyes1 at AK. LOL. right now he is working at MGM at sweet spells. so if you see him say hi!!! but for me, i would hate to work at something thats in the sun all day like Aladdin or Dumbo! ALtho, they do change jobs every hour or so. I guess it takes away the boredom
