My list is long and embarrassing-...-Dumbo (the hight scared me)
OK, I'm gonna get the idiot of the message board award for my short and embarassing list. I join tina&jefffromtoronto in my fear of Dumbo. Was I afraid of the heights? Well, I might have been if I had raised my elephant at all.
I remember vividly seeing my older sisters way above me and wanted so desperately to do that too. I saw the black knob in front of me but, because nobody told me how the ride worked (I was only like four or five), I was too paranoid to fuss with the knob. I was so afraid that I'd get in trouble or I'd break the ride & worked myself into such a frenzy that I thought if I flipped the lever, there would be an explosion or something.
So, I rode the ride at ground level, looking like a total fool, and have been mercilessly (and deservedly) mocked by my sisters ever since. They still plead innocent, but I'm convinced that such a ridiculously dramatic reaction could only have been caused by a fearful idea planted by a cruel older sibling

. Honest, I wasn't a scaredy kid - loved adventure & crazy carnival rides, etc.
Anyway, I never made it back to DW until I was adult and have always craved a "do over" on Dumbo (but I'd probably look stupider riding at 40 than I did at five!)
You may now mock at will!
