What restaurants do you regret eating at?

The Plaza Restaurant:headache: I picked this place since it was raved about for the deco and icecream soda/sandwich shop food, but it started awry when we waited over 45 minutes outside in the blazing heat to be seated for a ressie we arrived to 15 minutes in advance as requested. Then once seated we sat and waited over 15 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us, then waited again for her to take our drink order. After ordering our food it took another 45 minutes for our food to come out then we waited and waited when we were done to order desert at which point we almost walked out(if we weren't on the DDP we probably would have) I swear our waitress went on break or something because everyone else around us had excellent and attentive waiters/waitresses. Nothing against those who enjoy The Plaza, but that one time was more than enough:mad: The food just wasnt good enough for me to ever risk that disaster again! lol okay I am done venting and rehashing:laughing:

I was really disappointed in the Plaza Restaurant in the MK. I wouldn't go back again. I had the strawberry chicken salad. It wasn't anything special; the lettuce seemed like it had been taken from a bag and the chicken was dry and tough. The restaurant itself was chaotic and a little dirty, just stuff on the floor. There wasn't really any atmosphere in there either. I felt really rushed. Then I got the bill and found out my bagged lettuce salad was $13. I guess I hadn't really paid attention when I ordered it and that was my fault. It all just added up to a mediocre experience.

lol you were rushed and I was forced to sit around and wait and um..enjoy the mediocre experience:rotfl: That place is on my "never again" list

Restaurant Askershush (lunch)

DH swore he would never eat there again. the foot was pretty bland. dessert was good though.

We have three, two of which we will never eat at again:

Hollywood & Vine (worse food ever -- twice and filthy restaurant

Whispering Canyon Cafe (worse service ever and second worse food ever -- DH got sick on the food)

Boatwright's -- we are willing to give this one another try only if we can't get in any other place we want to try

Was your waitress a little chubby with dark hair, white lady, middle-aged? I could've written your review word for word. We had the worst service in WDW at the Plaza and the place was FREEZING. I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt like it was about 55 degrees in there. I heard others complaining about the temp to their servers and nothing was done. It really felt like bitterness and nastiness "got in the walls" and they no longer cared about guests there. It was plain old aweful. I only tried it because TGM highly recommended it and regretted spending a dime there.

After 2 bad and expensive meals at the Rainforest, in DTD, it's on our "Never Again" list.

Akershus:

Maybe we are a picky family,or just the food did not appeal to us,but we just went for luch in 2010, and looks like "Ariel" was way too sassy with my hubby,:scared1:, she was signed my daughter autograph book, and she said something like this (And I quote) "Hey sailor where is your ship"? Seriously!,I and proceed and told her that I was his "Mermaid" and that we left our ship back in our hometown beach in Puerto Rico..She was hitting to my Army guy!! I kept myself cool:cool2:, and we thank her for the time..After that I just ignored, Not big deal, since my dd8 and D niece were there with us..I caught me by surprise, and I believed that I handle the situation, as better as I could..And the princesses did not expend too much time with the girls,anyway..

in the middle of WDW, at a Princess meal, in the middle of her work shift, costume and all, Ariel decided to drop character and hit on your guy?!?!? Is it perhaps possible she was just making a lighthearted comment to a guy in uniform? Overreact much?:rolleyes1

Yes, it sounds like Ariel was simply being "in character". Nothing offensive about it at all!

Yes, it was to character. I am a chubby, balding, 40 something male and Ariel did the same thing to me as well a couple of years ago. I highly doubt she saw me in her eyes as Captain Jack Sparrow and wanted to go for a ride on my ship. :rotfl2:

We are trying 'Ohana for the first time in Sept and am a little nervous. I figured it was fitting since we are going with my full family for the first time. Me, DH, MS and my parents. :woohoo: Anyone have anything good to say about the place anymore?!?!

So I started this thread at the beginning and haven't read anything after your post, so I apologize if this has been answered already.... we did 'Ohana in Dec 2010 and LOVED it. Best food we had everywhere, and I didn't really have any bad experiences on the trip. We are going again this year and have booked 'Ohana again, and I'm excited for it! Everyone has different experiences, and different tastes. Sorry to those who have had a bad experience. I gotta tell ya, I almost dream about those noodles! :rotfl:

Ohana. Bad hostess. Bad table. Bad waitress. Bad food. Bad manager. Will not ever ever ever return for lunch or dinner. Breakfast was okay with regard to food and service, but we really went for DD to see Stitch.

no she wasn't but maybe they are good friends and take "break" together:rotfl:

Questionable dining experiences (some of these are offsite but in the general area).
1- As others have said: Rainforest Cafe in DTD. Bad eating experience . . .more than once. Will not go back.
2- This past Feb. ate at Landry's. Not really bad but not great - overpriced for what you get.
3 - Bongos DTD - ate there once on a business trip and had decent food, took family back and the food was cold and not very good.
4- Planet Hollywood & House of Blues DTD. I've had good and bad dining adventures at both of these. Probably not bad enough to prevent me from ever going back. Although my wife and I had really crappy food at the House of Blues at Disneyland.
5 - San Angel - so I'm not really impressed with the quality of their mexican food but we seem to keep going back.

Grand Floridian Cafe. DH and I both had stomach trouble that night and we were both really worried because we were leaving on the Dream the next afternoon.

Contempo Cafe- Grabbing a quick bottled drink is fine, but NEVER AGAIN. Worst flatbread pizza I've ever had in my life. Plus I got sick.

1st- My Hubby was not wearing uniform that day and
2nd I could tell in the way she spoke that the that she was hitting of him.I am not a complex person, but I see what she was come from..Besides that the food was a big! dissapointed I would rather to take my girls to eat @ CRT..instead princess:.And i dont think I was overreacting, everyone is diferent and we all agree to disagree:thumbsup2. p.S. that is why there is no more moral values in the world anymore. just imhp
