What restaurants do you recommend for the Epcot Christmas Processional?

This will be our 1st trip to DisneyWorld in December. Also the very first trip for our new grandson, who will be just six months in December. We already have our tickets to the VeryMerry Christmas show for 12/9. If any of you could share your experiences for the restaurant selection for the Christmas Processional, I'd appreciate it!

All the restaurants offered with the CP package are wonderful. Choose what you like.

Just a note...I would make your ps about 15 to 30 minutes earlier than when you actually want to eat...just in case it is a very busy night. When we were there...we waited almost 45 minutes for a table, had to rush through our meal to get to the CP on time.

If you get right in, then you can have a very leisurely meal since your ticket/meal includes all the courses.

The last two years we've done CP package at Garden Grill, and I can recommend that choice. While not a gourmet experience, the food is excellent basic American fare. It's a character meal (Mickey, Chip & Dale, Pluto), but it would be a good choice even without them.

Not only is it in the lowest price tier, but the last two years the CP package has cost very close to the normal cost of eating there. The only disadvantage is that it is the most distant from the amphitheatre where CP is performed. To be comfortable, give your self about an hour between finishing your meal and the starting time. Even with the CP package, you want to be there about 30 minutes before it starts. 15 minutes before the show, they open up the CP seating to all comers, so you want to be seated well before that.

PS: At Garden Grill, beverages ARE included, in spite of the CP packages rules saying they are not, because they are part of the standard GG meal.

DH and I ate at Chef's de France for the CP last year, and it was WONDERFUL! Great food, great service! We didn't mind that drinks weren't included because we wanted a glass of wine with such a great dinner. Wherever you go, enjoy! The CP is absolutely breathtaking!

Where are the times listed for the shows, vs dinner times available?

Last year the CP shows were at 5:00, 6:45, and 8:15; some shows are not open to the public so make sure you check times for the date you want. The CM who makes your reservation will assist you in selecting an appropriate PS time -- they have specific time slots in which they must make CP dinner reservations. For example, we got a 4:30 PS at Garden Grill last year for the 6:45 show, even though their regular dinner hours begin at 5:00. We got a lot of attention from the characters because only CP dinner guests were seated at that time.

If you pay the child's price, the children order off the children's menu. If you pay the adult price for them, they order off the adult menu.

We have done the CP the last two years and just loved it. We ate at Rose & Crown pub this past year and had a great meal. You get to pick a starter, entree & dessert. The package is a great deal, we always make our ps at least two hours before the show. We always go to the 2nd seating of CP because we like two watch the show when it is dark out. We will be doing the package again this year at Chef De France.

You may want to consider dinner after the show so you don't have to rush. We've done the package twice, once each way. Last year we did the 6:45 show followed by dinner at LeCellier at 8:00. It worked out much better. We were staying at BWV, so we had them box the leftovers and dessert and took them back.

I second Debbie. We've only been lucky enough to see the CP twice and also did it both ways. Much preferred seeing the program first and then having dinner. The time we did dinner first we were really hustling to get to the show and barely made it.

This past Christmas Day we went to the earliest show and then had a very relaxing if cold dinner at R&C...that is the weather was cold not the food.

I have done R&C once, Teppanyaki three times and Marrakesh twice. Enjoyed them all, will be doing another this December. Never did the CP before, but may this year, based on above.
