Staying the cabins at beginning of Dec. Decided not to do the DDP (1500 for 8 nights!), but I don't want to end up cooking EVERY single meal during the entire stay. After all, this is my vacation too and I feel like everyone should get a break from my cooking! :rotfl: We are only going to do 1 or 2 TS meals since we would have to tip 18% even though 2 of the "guests" will be 3 and 1 (neither one of them eat much). Any pizza, Chinese, etc deliver to FW? How far are some of the restaurants outside of Disney property to get to? Thanks in advance!

Do you know about take out from Trails End? Pizza and Chicken dinners are the big sale items. If you don't have a GC to go get it, you could take the internal bus to the Settlement, but you might have to fight off hungry tourists on the way back. :lmao:

Take the Disney bus to Downtown Disney. Lots of options there. Earl of Sandwich always comes up as a favorite. Good soups, salads, sandwiches, simple deserts at reasonable prices. Wolfgang Puck Express is right next door. I like their Mac and Cheese but the entre is just too much of a good thing. I get the side order and then add a second side to make a meal. House of Blues is at the other end of DTD. It's more expensive but I LOVE the shrimp poorboy sandwich.

I'm not certain, but I think that deliveries can only be made to the Reservation Outpost, which makes it none too convenient.

We had a wonderful time in our cabin (Feb 14 - Feb 19).
Like you, dining plans would be wasted on the little ones.
For dinners, we had (1) Take out Trails End Chicken --delicious! I added baked beans (2) Take out Pizza, wings from Trails End. I added salad. (3) I "cooked" one night: Pasta + Sauce from a jar + frozen veggies + pillsbury bread. (4) Counter service at Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace and (5) Counter service at Pecos Bill (great fixings bar for the burgers).
For counter service meals, your little ones could easily share a kids meal. They usually come with grapes & carrots in little bags which are good for snacking.
I would definitely recommend garden grocer. I ordered everything through them -- milk, juice, snacks, fruit, lunch stuff, desserts. It was already in the cabin when we arrived, with the frozen veggies in the freezer and milk in the fridge. I was worried that I ordered too much. I ended up with not enough. We had to stop at the trading post twice for more food.
Have a great trip,
Dianne
