What restaraunts are near Universal ?

We will be staying at RPR in May for 4 nights and I am trying to get an idea of what is around there. We will have a minivan so transportation isn't an issue.

What dining options will we have nearby (offsite) chain or not !!

As long as you have a car, the options are endless. Nearby on Kirkman Road (or right off it) are a new Golden Corral, TGI Fridays, Carrabba's, McDonalds, and several others. A bit further north on Kirkman, you make a left on to Conroy and you're right at Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar*B*Cue, which is a favorite of ours. If you head down Kirkman in the other direction toward International Drive right at that corner you'll find another of our favorites Sweet Tomatoes. It is a chain but if you're not familiar with them it is a HUGE salad bar restaurant with the freshest salads, soups, pastas and baked goods you can imagine. Even my kids (who really don't eat vegetables) love this place. Its' great. Then, of course, you're right on International Drive which has every restaurant chain America has to offer. Most of the I-Drive locations would be 10-15 minutes or less from RPR.
