What resorts have jet-ski rentals?

They are through the Sammy Duval Watersports operation at the Contemporary... here is the info for you on them :)

For the first time on Walt Disney property, personal watercrafts are avalaible to ride. We offer two types of excursions which leave port from the Contemporary Resort. First, a morning guided tour that can provide ample photo opportunites and a natural Florida view of Bay Lake and Seven Seas lagoon. Next a Free Ride that allows you to really cut loose in our bouy area or race for time in our course challenge

Personal Watercraft Excursions - Starting at $65.00 plus tax for 30 minutes/$140 plus tax for 60 minutes

Guided Excursion - Guided excursions departing from Disney's Contemporary Resort daily at 9:00am. Guest's are guided (by a SDWSC PWC specialist) around Bay Lake & Seven Seas Lagoon, pausing along the way to view "Points of Interest". At the conclusion of the excursion guests are given time to "Free Ride" under the supervision of the guides. A maximum of 4 rental units carrying up to 3 people each, will operate during each excursion. Price is $100.00 plus tax per hour per rental

Free Ride- Rentals departing from Disney's Contemporary Resort at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00, 1:00pm, 2:00pm 3:00pm and 4:00pm. Rentals operate in a "buoyed off" area on the north shore of Bay Lake (reserved for the Sammy Duvall Watersports operation), under the continual supervision of Sammy Duvall Watersports Guides. A maximum of 4 rental units will operate during each session. Price is $65.00 plus tax per 30 minute rental pr $100 plus tax per 60 minute rental.

The original poster should probably call Sammy Duvall's at the telephone number provided in the link to find out exactly what "personal watercraft" is. It just seems odd to me that at least one of the tours is described as providing ample photo opportunities. I'd think this would be difficult on a JetSki.

If you go to Sammy's web page you can pull it up, it is Jet Skis, you can look under watersports and then PWC. The guided tour is just a leisurely excursion with the free ride time at the end so photo ops are avalaible, we have great photos from a jet ski tour in the Carribean just depends on the type of excursion you are booked on.

I saw about 6 Sea Doo watercraft (Jet Ski is a Kawasaki brand name but same idea) at the dock of the Contemporary a year ago to rent.

Here was a photo of them riding them one morning.

Why can you jet ski and water ski in the lake that they will not let you swim in? I thought there was bacteria in the water or alligators....I always knew there was boat rental but I guess I never paid attention to the jet ski and water skiers. Hmmm?

I am happy to ride in the Sea Raycers, but I think that this would make me a little nervous mainly due to the fact that WDW cannot control alligators 100%.
