What resorts can accomodate 10 people well? (4 adults/ 6 kids)

The Treehouses have a limit of 9 plus one infant (under 3).

I'm just asking to ask since there is NO way I would be in a THV with nine people, we get 1-2 bedrooms for 2-4 of us, but without dining and ME, how would Disney even know any longer how many people are in a room.
If I was the 10th person in a 9 person room, couldn't I just purchase my tickets, not link them and use or even with an AP?
I'm really just asking to ask, I have no intention on wanting to ever have that many people in one space.
We did a GV at SSR last November with three couples and that was perfect. I couldn't see any more people unless they were kids I guess.

It is Disney policy to have all registered and in order to eligible an y onsite perks, you must be a registered guest.

An, of course, we don’t allow discussion of ways around Disney rules.

We've ta;led about getting a 2 bdrm, but I think we prefer our own seprerate spaces even if they are smaller spaces lol

A 2BR lock off is a 1BR and studio connected. It even keeps the seperate doors but gives you a 3rd room to sleep people and a central point with kitchen and dining table.

Not all resorts have studios *and* 1br that both accommodate 5 people not in cribs, and that's the only way to have a 2br LO accommodate 10.

Some have 1br that accommodate 5 and a studio that takes only 4 (BLT)
Others accommodate 5 in a studio but only 4 in a 1br (still a head scratcher for me) (e.g. BWV, BCV)

I agree. It would be nice if they could do a one bedroom with 5 and studio with 5. Does it ever happen that during a DVC redo/refurbish that the rooms could change the occupancy for a room type?

They did that with the studios at BWV and BCV. BRV as well.

That’s how they sleep 5 now in studios. But, they could not add the pull down bed under the TVs there because of the configuration of the Roma in the 1 bedrooms and this why those only still have sleeping surfaces for 4.

And to reconfigure BWV, BCV, and BRV for the 5th sleeper might require a major remodel, to move the connecting door between 1 BR and studio. Even then, I’m not sure the rooms are wide enough to allow the sofa bed and single bed to open towards each other.

At BCV the connecting doors we've had were all in the foyer area like most of them were at SSR. Is that not the case for all the rooms there? I always thought BCV not getting the extra murphy bed was a choice vs it not being possible.

My bad, never having stayed at BCV! At BWV the connecting doors are in the living room, between the TV and the balcony. There’s enough room in the corner next to the balcony for an armchair angled in towards the coffee table, but not enough room for a chair bed to be open with the sofa bed, and not much space alongside and parallel to the sofa bed, between it and the balcony.

The Treehouses would do this. Just had a lovely stay there last week and I have fallen in love with this resort!

We chose not to do the Treehouses because the kids, who would've fit in the bunk room, are 2 and 10 (who is taller than 5 ft). I didn't think the 10y would want to do the top bunk. Plus 3 adults would've been in the LV which people told me was small.

From a few reports of the refurb at SSR it sounded like some of the rooms there had connecting doors in the living area while most are by the front doors so those few 1BR's did not get the murphy bed. Not certain but maybe they were HA rooms. Just was thinking it's possible BCV is similar even though we've always had the connecting door by the front door. Nothing like consistency in design!
