Has anyone seen the new WDW $55 a night commercial where the kids get up extra early, only to find that their parents are already waiting for them?
What resort are they actually in? It doesn't seem like any that I've seen. Perhaps they just made a studio up.
The only reason i think they might have made it up is because the commercial is for a value resort, yet the have the mickey head stand alone lamps that you see in places like the GF. plus there's like a mural of Characters across the room.
it just seemed a little off.

I just saw the commercial tonight--I assume it was supposed to be the All Star Music resort, because they showed a pool shaped like a guitar at the end of the commerical. I will look more closely next time I see it!

:D It's the POP Century...just opened last December.

It's ok to be a Mets fan in New England...it's those %&*$%@ Yankees fans we don't like!!!!!!!!:D

It's not POP, I was just there. I think that it is pretty deceiving of Disney to advertise this room. They make it sound like this is a Value resort. They room looks pretty big, it has all the Disney decor, a balcony, and a view of the castle! I hope that people don't book this room due to the commercial and they think that this is what they will get.

its what they call a composite commercial, it shows some of the best things about staying on site without discerning between the different resorts, hence the whimsical headboards most likely seen at a value, the castle view which is a deluxe as is the balcony. showing the monorail when talking about transportation giving the impression you can catch it from anywhere. they certainly arent going to show a family huddled shoulder to shoulder in a small value room or having to stand for twenty minutes on a crowded bus.

That castle had to be computer generated. I don't think any of the deluxes are close enough to be able to see it that well. Your balcony would have to be in the vincinity of the main street railroad stop to see it that clearly. I did love the Disney mural headboards though.

there are some rooms at Disneyland Paris which are that close to the castle (the hotel is in effect where the railroad is in florida)

They are showing the some commercial here for DLP so it's not supposed to be a specific hotel cause they are using it for 2 different resorts.

I'm assuming this is the one where the kids don't want to wake the parents, but they are already dressed complete with goofy hats etc

The rooms themselves do not exist. Not even Deluxe Resorts have THAT great of view of the castle... and the value resorts are miles and miles away from Magic Kingdom. And neither All Star nor Pop Century have decorated headboards. The first exterior shot is of Pop Century, and then is flashes to the All Stars and some shots of the parks. It's a rather misleading commercial, and yes, people really do check into the All Star Resorts expecting a view of the Castle because of ads like that.

I think it's pretty funny,

Just the other night my boyfriend who I have brought to WDW 2 times and now is a disney freak asked me, "hey what resort is that I think we should stay there in January"

I had to look at the commercial again and laughed, no resort looks like that, and I've stayed in most of them.

I think this is very misleading on Disney's part, families are going to book a value resort and be very disappointed.

But I would love to know what resort Disney would say this is!!

I was thinking maybe it was the Contemporary, thinking that the decor looked similar maybe to that resort, but that's just based on pictures that I've seen of rooms at the Contemporary, since I have never actually stayed there.

Definitely not a Value resort, that's for sure.
