What rates could I hope for in Oct for POR?

I'm hoping to persuade my family to go to Disney this October (can you believe that some people actually have to be persuaded?!?! )

I'm trying to figure out a budget as I like to book my room and make payments until my trip so I don't have to use my credit card.

I'd really like to stay at POR, but would settle for POP if the money situation isn't as good as I think it will be. I'm estimating $79/+tax for the value season. Is that a ridiculous amount?

I don't think October is considered "Value" season ––*it's regular season. I booked POFQ at $156.10 per night with AAA discount. I know there are some codes around for $79/night for MOD resort, and if you're a AP holder then it is cheaper.

Anyone else?

I am going in October and for the dates of Oct. 13-17, I was quoted $149 for a reg room and around $165 for a water view room. I am hoping for a room only code to bring this down.

Sorry I should've been more specific... I was looking to go 10/1-10/8 so that would be during value season.

I'm looking around that time also (9/30) and am really hoping for a room only code of $79. According to mousesavers, they usually have something at the time.

Crossing my fingers!

Last year I paid $79 for POR the week right before Christmas (Dec. 19 through 23rd). That was the FL resident rate. AP was the same so October should be around there I hope...Unless they raise prices.

Value season ends 10-4. So you would need to make 2 back-to-back reservations in order to get the best deal..... I'm anxious to hear about the deals because we will be going back the week of the 15th....

Hey KLWDisney - If you were to book 10/1 - 10/8, you will get the value season for your entire stay. See the quote from Mousesavers.

"If your stay STARTS in a particular season, but runs into the next season, your room rate will be based on the season in effect when you check in. For instance, if you check in to your hotel for a one week stay on February 14 (Value Season), even though Peak Season starts on February 15 you will be charged for the entire stay at the Value Season rates."

We went last Oct 3-7 but unfortunately we missed the Value season. I think it ended on Oct 1. We got a room only code for Coronado Springs (loved that resort) for about $104 per night including tax. We are trying to plan a trip Oct 2-6 this year. I'm excited because we will be in Value season. I can't wait to see what the discount codes might bring.

I am going Oct 1-8 too and staying at FQ, right now I am at 107+ tax with AAA but hoping AP rates come out :)
