What rate did you get last Dec. at the Wilderness Lodge?

What rate did you get at the WL (during value season) last December? Was it with a code/AP discount/etc.?

Was there 11/9-12. Booked a public code. It was on their website but I called and did it through CRO. Had Courtyard View for $139 + tax. I think wood view would have been 119 and standard 109 but not real sure about those. May have been 129 and 119 + tax. From what I recall, the only better deals would have been with AP or some sort of FL Resident rate and those may have been $5 or $10 less a night.

HOWEVER, people were getting displaced when CBR closed so if someone mentions a rate significantly less, it may have been due to compensatory offers.

What's your secret? I was there 12/26 - 1/2 and was told no ap rates available during period of 12/20 - 1/1. We stayed at ASMu for $124 per night.

They were right. There were no codes or AP rates for 12/20-01/01. The "secret" was to book beginning the last day the AP rates were available for the holiday season...12/19. We had originally planned to stay from 12/23 -01/01, but then we realized what we could do if we changed our dates! By starting our vacation on the 19th, we stayed 4 additional nights and it actually cost less!

We were there 12/14 to 12/19 and had a courtyard view, cost was 139.00 before tax $154.29 with taxes. This was with the codes from mousesavers.

We stayed in a courtyard view room at WL Dec. 3-10, 2002, for $149.85 inc. tax per night. We had the AP room rate. The AP room rate was about $5 less per night than the code rate.

We have a comeback rate of $167 inc. tax, for the same type of room, for Dec. 6-13, 2003 at the WL. I am keeping an eye for other codes and the AP rates.
