What questions would you like DVC Management to answer?

Just wondering what questions you would ask (or hope that someone else would ask) at the annual meetings?

I'm hoping to attend the VB and the BWV meetings. If I do, I will be taking notes. (No computer on vacation for me, though, so I won't be able to post until I return).

I personally would like to ask/hear about:

*Plans to improve BWV bus transportation (Hoping they have some to tell us about).

*Plans to address lack of adequate self-parking for BWV/BWI guests. (Visitors to the Boardwalk and EPCOT often fill the lot to the detriment of those actually staying at the BWV/BWI resort).

*Future of Atlantic Dance Building (seems to be underutilized space).

*Any change in thinking re giving DVC members a discount on annual passes or park hopper passes (Probably not, but I wouldn't want them to think we don't want that anymore, LOL).


So, what would you like to know/ask the DVC Resort Managment?

Please ask about the AP discounts or FL resident discounts for DVC members. They really should look at this issue.

You might ask about some of the rumors...
- CR DVC resort?
- New DCL boat?
 
I would like to know about:

1. Transportation issues at the resorts. Are they paying attention to this issue and will they deal with it? How?

2. Future for on-line point tracking, account activity and reservations. Any plans at all?

3. AP Discounts. It seems like the way to go especially with the DC going away.

I'd like to hear information about an online DVC clothing purchase availability and new styles.

I'd also like to hear about the possibility for putting the schedule for resort activities for kids on the website.

I'd like to know more about the sale of the land across the street from the Vero resort and how that will affect the resort.

How can the trash problem in the halls of some resorts be corrected.
 
You have some good questions that I would like to see ansewers for.I would like to add OKW buses to your list. When leaving the park at night there always seems to be more buses going to all the other resorts while we stand in line waiting for our bus to come. The other thing is the discounts we get for the park passes. I feel that as a DVC member we have a long term investment in the World and I feel we should get better discounts on park passes.We go back every year and that would be a great help in the travel budget.Also like you feel if you don't ask they will never here you....:smooth:
 
Since there's currently a thread on the absence of decent DVC clothing (and merchandise), which I agree with completely, could you ask if there's any plans to improve this situation.

{Definitely not a life or death issue, but it does constantly surprise me that they don't seem to realize there's a goup of people who are hot to spend a little $$$ on tasteful DVC things.}

I would second the idea about discounted APs. Also, the on-line point tracking would be a plus as well, and certainly should be doable in this day and age!

Ditto on improving the bus transportation at BWV - even in the slower seasons it takes forever to make the rounds to all the stops - and getting back 'home' is even worse!
 
All of your questions are well stated, and I would also like addressed. Maybe add one more about guests noticing that the units are not cleaned as thoroughly as they should be upon check-in. Perhaps due to either a lack of housekeeping staff or pushing for that "room-ready policy".

Definitely AP Discounts. (We all own property in FL.)

AND....I would LOVE to know why they schedule the housekeeping the way they do. I've always had to change ours because they're do a cleaning the day before we leave. It drives me nuts. There's no reason not to put the cleaning day smack in the middle of your trip. (If you're staying Monday-Friday, they should be cleaning on Wednesday, not Thursday.) It isn't brain surgery.

We haven't been there in a while. I completely forgot about that. It isn't a "new" issue. Maybe they cut out the supervisors?

If you are at the VB meeting I would appreciate if you ask why the CM's don't ENFORCE the "NO" saving of pool chairs at 8:00 am in the morning with towels over them(with no one in the pool).

Sorry to ask a question about a question... are you allowed to do this? I agree, I would rather have TT Wed not Thursday on my 5 night trip but I didn't think that was an option.,

Who pays for damage to the DVC units by guests? Are the guests who damage the units responsible, or does it come out of our dues? I have heard of serious damage by guests to units on occasion. I hope I am not paying for it.
 
One more vote for Annual Pass discounts and online point tracking!

Our housekeeping has always been in the middle of our trips (VWL and OKW). We've had some Sund-Fri stays at VWL and got housekeeping on Wednesday.
I've read on these boards that we can request housekeeping on a different day, but never had to do it myself.
 
I agree that having a "Trash-n-Tidy" the day before you checkout is a waste. This is consistent with my real question which is "How much money did we really save being so stingy with towels?" We end up washing the towels in our room, so we're still using water & the labor is ours. We frequently have self-laundered towels sitting there when our Trash-n-Tidy occurs, esp. when it is shortly before we are checking out. Thanks for asking.
 
Nothing new to add but definitely we should be able to check point balances and resort availability online
