With the amount of money spent on a Disney cruise... do you really want your son playing games on a playstation? Especially games he could of stayed at home to play for the price of an electric bill?
Well, I might rather my DS do other things, but I figure if that's what he likes/wants to do...it's his vacation too, right? This is the only vacation he will have ever taken where he gets to be on "his own schedule" rather then having to go along with what the rest of the family has "planned" for the day! (Besides, as far as the cost of the cruise goes...is passing the time playing video games really any different from laying around on a lounge chair?Originally posted by yodasdabomb
But look at it this way. With the amount of money spent on a Disney cruise... do you really want your son playing games on a playstation? Especially games he could of stayed at home to play for the price of an electric bill?
Well, I suppose it will be cheaper once you take into consideration the cost associated with laying on deck on a lounge chair...all those tropical drinks add up quickly $$$...LOL)hee heeOriginally posted by dtuleya
Lord knows my "liquid refreshments" aren't cheap!

Something else to consider...if Playstation in the Lab keeps DS out of the arcade for even a small amount of time I will *save* tons of money, lol!

Without getting into a debate or too much into my personal life, we use PS2 as a reward for my son. He had some minor LDs. So yes, I do want my son playing PS2 onboard. Thanks for your opinion, but I'm capable of deciding what is right for my children.

I am sorry, I hope you didn't take offense to this, as it wasn't meant to offend you at all. I was just trying to put a positive spin on not have the games. But here is something that may help.
I believe the tvs in the staterooms have av hookups in the FRONT of the tvs. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong). Since they are in the front it should be no problem if you son wants to bring his own system with him. Then he can play his own games whenever he wants. Even if it may mean another thing to add to your luggage!
IMHO, we all should choose the battles we can WIN and ignore the rest. I bet he's a cool kid.Originally posted by dtuleya
Thanks for the info about the room TV. Don't know if I'll go that route since then it would be too much of a temptation to him.
Sorry if I'm a little thin skinned, but it's amazing how much unsolicitied advice I get from people meaning well. Sorry if I responded too quickly.
