What Price, Observation Deck?

Hello,

I have a question about the California Grill, as it relates to getting to watch Wishes from the observation deck. I hope you can help me.

I don't have an ADR, but it's my understanding that I can eat in the lounge or at the bar on a first-come-first-served basis, beginning at 5:pm.

What I want to know is: what expenditure qualifies my receipt as observation-deck-worthy? I know if I dropped a hundred or two on dinner, there would be no question. But what if I just get drinks and dessert? Does my $50 receipt speak as loudly as if I had spent more? Will the receptionist on the 2nd floor look at my receipt at 9:30pm as I try to gain entry and tell me..."meh"?

If you are in the restaurant during the time of Wishes, you have access to the observation deck.

I don't know how you'll get past the receptionist on the second floor, however, if there are no stools available at the bar.

On the Disney website, California Grill states, "Dining before fireworks? Bring your receipt to the check-in desk on the 2nd floor for reentry into California Grill. Then enjoy the show from the lounge or observation deck." It doesn't matter what the cost of the bill is, as long as you show a receipt. Hope this helps!
