I've never traded, although it looks fun to do. I get a bit obsessive about collecting, so I had to draw the line at approaching CM's!!! I would also be mega paniced about losing pins off the lanyard! I'm already the familiy's designated pack pony, so you know I don'treally need the extra stuff to cary!!
I do buy pins though. Usually ones that are connected to what I have seen or done. Pins for hotels I have stayed at or visited for meals, special events like the Star Wars weekends and Food & Wine fesitvals. Also one for each of the parks I have visited that trip. There are so many pins to choose from it really does help to narrow it down a little!! I'm thinking this trip I might collect the Epcot country pins, seeing as we only have time for there and MK. I personally think they are on the pricey side, I think if they were a few dollars less (maybe $3) I might buy more. I guess that's why the actual pin trading is so big, as you are just swapping, no cash involved.
