What pin themes do you collect?

Rides that we just love. Resorts that we stay at. We always get a pin with the year on it, special events that occur while we are there (patriots day, MVMCP, etc.), and a few select charectors (for me any charector that I have an excellent interaction with while I am there (last year Jafar, time before that Flik and Capt Hook) , for DFi its just always Buzz).

Rides/hotels
Events we go to (Food and Wine, Festival of the Masters, etc.)

I collect pins that I like, I always spend way to much $ on them though I have some really great pins that I would never trade but then I have some that are just to trade. On our November trip I want to buy park/ride pins.

I always buy a "Resort" Pin from each place we stay at.

dd (12) is the collector. She goes after Chip and Dale and Cast Lanyard pins.

I've collected the resorts we've stayed at. Oh, also have the collection of 15 WWTBAM pins!

We don't trade - we only collect. So considering the cost of each pin we don't get too many but get at least 2 on each trip. I make sure I get the current passholder pin that is available. And then the trip in May I got my DH a Test Track pin since he liked that ride so much. This trip I of course got the passholder pin (Tree of Life with Chip & Dale - pretty cute) and I got my DH a pin of Stitch riding Test Track (his fav charactor and his favorite ride.)

My main collections are Pooh Bear Santa around the world and the It's a Small World children (I guess I like the sets that represent various nations!).

Otherwise I collect what I like, as do my girls.

I collect Figment and Stitch. My DS collects Donald. We also like some Cast Lanyard Pins. I still would love a complete set of the Safety Pins. We try to get a pin for the resort we are staying. (This proved difficult in July as we could not find a Contemporary Pin any where on site ...ended up fining it at the shop at MCO on our way home!) We keep our collections on a bulletin board in our living room...like to share with others.

I usually go with characters I like or something that reminds me of something I did on the trip. I do have more Beauty and the Beat themed pins than anything else though.

I am still trying to finish out the set of "safety PIns"- I am safety director for my company and enjoy the safety messages on these pins- only have about half the set so will be looking next week- I have only found them on CM lanyards so far so it may take awhile. I also have one lanyard with just DVC pins. My main lanyard is "the ones that just "hit" me at the moment" usually with some special connection to a trip we have taken.

I started to collect/trade the pooh characters. My goal was to have every character- I am missing Kanga (but I have Roo on one), Owl and Christopher Robin (dont know if I'll find him). I was told the Owl one was pretty rare so I will just keep looking.

I bought mine off Ebay in a random lot and traded for ones that I wanted. I will probably buy more off Ebay for a future trip and then trade those too... how addictive
