What Phrase Drives You Nuts?

'Don't rock the boat'...every time I hear it I start to sing the M & M commercial. It stays in my head for days on end.

I cannot STAND "on the same page" or "at the end of the day"....

AND the term "actually" to punctuate every sentence!!! :scared1:

As for WE being pregnant... I sure wish my ex had the stretch marks and the extra weight that I got when WE were pregnant!! :rotfl:

I hate when people refer to things as "your" when they do not belong to me. Like "I want an SUV, you know, like your Mountaineers, your Explorers, your Land Rovers......"
:scared1: They are not mine- if I owned all those cars I would sell them and go to Disney World!

"It'll look good on a resume" when said as if that's the most thing important in taking a job.

Oh yes, and "Same old, same old". :faint:

My Bad

To Each His Own

Whatever Floats Your Boat

No offense, but.. then you add the offensive sentence :headache:

When someone starts a conversation...or sends a email starting with "AS YOU ARE WELL AWARE.....":headache:

I can quarantee that 100% of the time....I am not 'aware' of what they are talking about! Most people use that expression to cover for not telling you something, that they should have

Watch The Apprentice, and everytime someone uses the phrase "think outside the box" take a drink (of beers, lol). You'll be drunk in no time!! :happytv:

:lmao: If ONE 'thinks outside the box' in the REAL business world....ONE will be fired!!!!

No offense to whoever may use this phrase on the boards, but I can't stand when someone says they're 'preggers'. I don't know why, but it really bugs me.

I hate when people say, "No offense, but...", then say something offensive. Like telling you "No offense" gives them an excuse to say anything and you shouldn't take it as critical or mean.

Same thing as, "With all due respect..." then saying something terribly rude. That's not respectful!!

***Ooh, pfishgirl, we have the same pet peeve- I'm glad yours wasn't "people who post the same thing I just said"!***

One you rarely hear anymore - talk to the hand. I've always thought that was extremely rude.

And one I absolutely hate -- Pie Hole. Ugh, makes me grit my teeth when I hear that.

I just thought of another one. When a woman has, for instance, an Italian last name, and you ask her if she's Italian, and she responds with:

"I'm Italian by injection"

Ew!! Where's that puking smiley when you need it!

I hate when someone says something is "good enough"...generally that means they have not done a good job at all.

I also hate "we're pregnant", "preggers", etc.

It also drives me nuts when people refer to their 2 year old as their "24 month old." Uh, you can stop counting months now!

And "by the by" instead of "by the way..." it just sounds so stupid.
