The soft ware that came with my camera is really poor. To say the least! I am now looking to buy something. My husband thinks ACDsee is great we have a version of it and I hate it! So what do you use? I don't plan to do a lot with my pics, crop, rotate, change to black and white etc....

It depends on who is developing my pictures. I just use the ones that are available at snapfish, ofoto, etc... Hopefully, I am making sense???

so you do all your uploading and editing at those places. Doesn't take forever to upload? We have cable internet and I ended up uploading about 65 pictures and it took almost 15 minutes! I don't mind if I am loading one or 2 to have developed. But that just seemed so long!

I have Microsoft Picture It Photo 7.0 and I love it. It didn't take long to learn to use it and there is a lot you can do: Crop and create cut-outs, fix the contrast, brightness, tint, red eye, sharpen or blur ( I have beenusing the hsarpen a lot as my kids are starting to use my camera more). You can do effects like antique, black and white, negative etc., soften or highlight edges, add frames and mats, add text or clip art. There is a lot you can do. I haven't made use of everything, but do like to play around with a lot of the features. :D Have fun!

Well, again it does depend on who you are using. Ofoto has a uploading software that you can download for free that uploads your pictures in a matter of seconds. I do find the cheaper companies do not have quick uploading software. So, I guess, you get what you pay for. I was behind in printing my pictures over a 2 year span and I ended up using Ofoto the most because of speed. I know, it almost 10 cents more per picture but sometimes I just didn't have the time to spend hours waiting for pictures to upload. I definitely learned my lesson and I make sure I upload my pictures at least once every 3 months or after a major event or vacation.

Maybe try Twigs suggestion. My camera does have a lot of the features that she mentioned in her comment. So, I do a lot of the stuff prior to uploading. I haven't editted too many pictures because it can get time consuming.

Good Luck!

I use Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Microsoft Photodraw. I like photodraw better, lots of fun things to do and it's easy.

The program that came with my camera is the best for getting rid of red eye though.

A popular program right now is Adobe Photoshop Album. It helps you organize all your photos as well as edit them (crop, rotate, red eye, etc.)

I've been using that too a little. I will use it more when I get my new computer at Christmas so I don't have to reorganize everything!

Maybe I am doing something wrong with Ofoto. because that seems to be the longest. I do get a screen that shows the pictures quickly but it is the next step.
So I guess I need to play with it more...this is all new to me!
