i can't give you a percentage....i can tell you that almost everyone on our last trip that we met were doing the land/sea combo. Don't know if that helps or not.
everytime we go on the wonder we do our own land/sea package....we go on a 3 or 4 day cruise and then we go to disney for 3 or 4 days without DCL's help. Its been cheaper for us everytime.
Sorry for the confusion! I was actually wondering how many actually purchase their Land/Sea package through DCL as opposed to booking the cruise and then adding the "land" portion after or before.
Another interesting factoid: more first time ever cruisers on the Wonder (except for Tony and Barb), way more repeat cruisers on the Magic (with lots of them on second or more DCL cruise)
We are doing the Wonder separate from WDW. Our only reason is because I can get a travel industry discount on WDW now. I may be able to get one on the cruise closer to departure.
I think it depends on several things: If you can book early then the rates for L&S are usually cheaper. At least it has been that why for us. But if you want to book S then L - (which DCL doesn't do) then you would need to book cruise and then book dates for WDW.
Plus it could turn out cheaper if thats say you wanted to stay off WDW for cheaper hotel rates and then book the Wonder for your cruise part.
I price compared the L&S by checking what price the same WDW hotel would be and what price the same DCL Wonder (having the same cat) would be and both times for us it was cheaper doing the L&S together.
I hope I didn't confuss(LOL) anyone by this opinion.
