I'll be going to WDW with dd (5yrs) May 12-16, but only be in the parks the 13-15. I have PS in Epcot (1:30pm) on Friday, 6:15 in MK on Saturday, and at 5pm at Chef Mickey's on Sunday (a bit overboard, I know, but my parents will be there too and tend to spoil their only granddaughter!). Anyhoo, any suggestions on what parks I should hit and what I can miss (we have park hopper tickets)? I don't want to miss anything, but I also know we'll be coming back in a few years (sniff sniff) when my ds is older (and hopefully the crowd levels won't be as high as predicted for my trip!!). I appreciate any suggestions since I tend to overplan and have become obsessed with this trip (and the DIS boards!) Thanks all!
I would suggest your main focus be the MK, and the more kid friendly areas of Future World. If you get a chance, Playhouse Disney and MuppetVision 3D would be great. Also, if possible, Camp Minnie-Mickey in AK might be fun. Anyone else have suggestions?
Epcot has some very cute kid-friendly attractions, especially Turtle Talk w/Crush at the Living Seas. My DS 6 adored that. Magic Kingdom is an obvious must do w/a little one--my son was adventurous and tried mostly everything and his faves were Splash Mountain and Peter Pan. We really liked Animal Kingdom, for us it was better than the Studios. He loved the Safari, Kali River Rapids, Festival of the Lion King as well as the performers in Africa. The Tree of Life is awesome to see. DS had his face painted. We were heading to see a show during the parade so we missed that. My son loves animals so we did some of the animal trails and there were CMs who would show us about the different kinds of animls, etc. We thought that was neat. Of course the characters are there. MGM has Beauty and the Beast which was great. Also there's the Little Mermaid and Muppet vision 3D. Find out what appeals to your DD and go from there--you'll be back in a few years anyway then you can see the things that you missed. Your DD will love Chef Mickey's (us adults did too). Have fun planning and have a wonderful vacation!!
Thanks Sorcerer Figment and bdink921! MK is on for the am of 5/13 (and any other time we can squeeze it in!); just trying to fit in the few things I'd like to do at AK/MGM/Epcot w/o exhausting my dd! I'll take any other suggestions too!
