What parades shouldn't be missed?

You only have to wait a long time for a parade if you stake out a spot around Main Street or the castle. In Frontierland or in front of Hall of Presidents, you can guarantee yourself a great view, without waiting most of the day. And both parades are definitely a must, especially if you've never seen them before.

What are your favourite parades and viewing spots? Are there any that you would skip? Not sure if we want to waste ride time or an afternoon break at the pool to watch a parade... but if they are really that good.... maybe we should!

Main Street Electrical Parade is a must do, at least once. No other parade compares to it.

We liked Festival of Fantasy, but that's a "nice to watch" parade as opposed to a must-do.

What time is the FOF parade in the MK? We are going the last week of August. Have a 2:35 Liberty Tree Tavern adr. Will we be out in time? What time does it pass liberty square?

Parade begins at 3pm...............gonna be difficult to be done by then. Don't believe there would be a good view of the parade from there either, although I've never been in the restaurant during a parade. If you can push back to 1:45 or 2pm you may be better off.

my daughter likes to run to in front of it when our other spots are taken.. most stand on the street and there is steps up and usually everyone is watching out the windows from inside if they are eating..

You won't be done eating in time (most likely) but you should be able to see it.. request to sit near the window

Accident .... The only parades I remember watching are one at MGM and one at AK. The one at AK we got trapped in the Tree of Life area by the parade and we were quite far back in the crowd .... too far back to really appreciate anything.

The one at MGM had Villians in it so it was nice to see some bad guys

As most mentioned, Festival of Fantasy is worth it's weight in flying elephants, great parade.
The Move it! Shake it! parade/dance party is a must in my book as well. Great way to let your hair down and just cut loose with a bunch of characters and CMs.
I prefer the old song but the new music isn't bad either

I love the night time parades best of all. Main Street Electrical Parade or SpectroMagic--both are so unique.

Nothing wrong with the day time parade, but it's just not as special to me.

I wish they'd bring Tapestry back to Epcot too.

Tapestry at Epcot was a family favorite. Still listen to the music from the parade. Also love SpectroMagic. I have been know to listen to music from that parade too. I have never seen Festival of Fantasy. Adding that to my list of things to do end of September.

What parades have you already seen???

Festival of Fantasy is probably the best daytime parade disney has but since it moved to 3pm I understand the whole getting into the park at that time to see it.. I liked it a lot better at noon as you were making your way out of the park for the afternoon break. We either time getting into the park just before it starts or we leave just after it ends and come back later.. If there is somewhere you want to do lunch in MK, it's a great time to get a 1ish table service.

This exactly! Great parade but 3pm is just about the hottest part of the day. Normally we would be out of the park by then. I never knew it was at noon before, wish it still was!

FoF and MSEP.

I did FoF on our last full day. We are midday break people so we arrived to MK late that day and watched the parade with no break. We stayed until the park closed.

Electrical light is incredible and I agree Festival of Fantasy is wonderful. Parades are my favourite part of Disney
