We just moved into a new house, and choosing our paint colors was so hard! After painting, hating it and repainting, then finally touring some model homes and matching swatches, we finally picked out most of our colors. So what do YOU have? Here is what we have so far:

Main color of house:
Brand: Frazee
Color: Millet - Some say it's a tan, some say it's more yellow, it's a tannish/yellow. Sort of a buttercream color, it goes with everything! I think it's the perfect yellow without being, well, yellow!

Two accent walls (one in dining area, one between kitchen and family room):
Brand: Lowes American Tradition
Color: Oakmoss - a rich, sage green

Kitchen:
Brand: Home Depot, I think it's Behr
Color: Crimson - a muted terra cotta red
No theme here, just brown/tan Caesarstone countertops, and honey oak cabinets.

Laundry Room:
Brand: Lowes American Tradition
Color: Jekyll Clubhouse - a cheerful yellow

Boys Room:
Brand: Glidden
Color: Billowing Clouds - a soft, light blue
Theme: Firetrucks

Girls Room:
Brand: Frazee
Color: Runnymede - a bright, peachy-yellow. We will be accent one or two of the walls with a fushia color.
Theme: Surfer/Hawaiian

Kids Bath:
Not sure on the color yet, but the theme is Hawaiian. So far I have a colorful striped shower curtain (Target), cute Hawaiian/surfer signs and palm tree shower hooks (all ebay).

That's all I have so far! So how do you decorate? :flower:

Sounds beautiful!! I have read great things about the American Tradition paint at Lowes and think we'll start there.

As soon as get into our house, this is what we will do (already sorta like this in our current house):

Dining room - these cool 3-D wall tiles I saw on "I Want That" on focal wall, probably painted a sagey green to add a pop of color. The house comes with a deep beige color standard with white crown molding so I think we'll leave the other 2 walls beige (one is a huge windown anyways).

Powder room - chocolate brown with sage accents

Master - chocolate brown walls and spa blue ceiling (bedding is spa blue and drapes are white).

Master Bath - spa blue walls and ceiling with brown and white accents

Living - brick red walls (extends into breakfast area of kitchen). Rest of kitchen is mostly cabinets so we'll leave the beige. Decor is beige, navy, red, sage

Guest room - bright red focal wall behind bed with poly stripes to add character. We'll leave the rest beige. Room is black and white with touches of red (vintage Parisian)

Upstairs bath - Periwinkle walls, decor is a bright stripe with yellow, blue, periwinkle, etc.

Have no idea what to do in office (cigar themed) and game room (empty) for now. I think I may paint the laundry room bright yellow just to make it less icky.

We hope to get all that painting done before we move in, we'll have about 3 weeks! =)

We had a lot of fun choosing paint colours!

The foyer is a mustard colour. It's not my favourite but it looks nice.

The living room and dining room are beige with a chocolate brown accent wall. We have deep brown wood furnitures and cranberry coloured accents in those rooms.

The spare bedroom/office is a bright, happy blue :)

Our bedroom is burnt orange and our bedding is white and espresso.

The kitchen is popcorn yellow, which looks fun with our stainless steel and pink accessories.

The bathrooms and grey and white. If I could do it again I would probably choose something more interesting.

Well, my livingroom and dining room are Benjiman Moore's Scarecrow, which is a taupy, tanish, greenish, mushroomy color-the ceiling is BM's Stone House-a couple shades lighter then the walls.

The TV room is BM's Sandy Valley, a golden yellow-very rich looking color and the ceiling is BM's Fennel Seed-a couple shades lighter then the walls.

The kitchen is BM's Brick Red, which is exactly what it is. The ceiling is the same as the TV room-painted ceiling tiles that look like tin.

The main bath is Spiced Pumpkin from Laura Ashley's collection-just painted that so not sure what to put with it yet.

Our bedroom is BM's Dry Sage, a dusty sage color that I LOVE!

DD's room is periwinkle with white, very cute little girl room!

The boys have an outerspace theme but we haven't painted the walls yet. They will be a midnight blue with stars, etc.

The guest bedroom is a pale yellow with a Northwoods theme.

The upstairs bath will be a lime green, funky room when I get around to finishing it.

The other bath is the decor of the previous owner still and I haven't figured out what to do there yet.

The family room is taupe, boring but ok so we aren't working on that room yet.

All walls are white except for upstairs bathroom, which is lilac.

Livingroom furniture & accents are green & peach. Kitchen green & red with apple theme. Den loveseat blue/khaki/burgundy plaid. Leather recliner in den is burgundy. Dining room is blue floral. Upstairs bedrooms mostly blue.

I'm seeing a theme here with the blue.

We just finished (almost) redoing our living room, dining room and kitchen (cosmetically) after living in this house for over a year. I take a long time to plan and then plan complicated stuff, so things take time.

The living room is painted in Ellen Kennon's Honeysuckle (a full-spectrum paint mixed into ICI Dulux Velvet Matte paint). It's a GORGEOUS warm peachy gold color that changes like crazy with the light. It makes my woodwork positively glow. The ceiling and new crown moulding are painted Sherwin Williams Dover White. I also have a very small (2.5" wide) border from Bradbury wallpapers (they make handprinted victorian reproduction paper, gorgeous stuff). It's from the Victorian Classicism line, the olympia border in the jasper colorway.

The dining room is painted in Sherwin Williams Golden Fleece (a warm goldish tan that matches the metallic gold in the wallpaper) above the chair rail. Below is more Bradbury paper, it's from the Fenway collection, fiddlehead dado in the indigo colorway. I cut some of it out to use as a border as well. The ceiling is the same as the living room (also got new crown moulding).

The kitchen has natural maple cabinets with "green glace" by wilsonart laminate counters, it's a speckled seafoam green. I didn't pick the kitchen but it was fairly newly remodeled when we bought the house. Rather than fight the counters I am working with them and doing a "vintage coca cola" theme (DH collects coke stuff) and combining it with cranberry accents. The trim is white, the walls are Sherwin Williams Macadmia (sort of a coffee with cream color that brings out the rosie/fresh wood undertones in the maple). I also installed a new backsplash made up of white subway tiles with sicis iridized mosaic tile accents in "fern", they match the counter and are GORGEOUS.

My plans for the bedroom is to put in a high chair rail and paint above the chair rail (including the ceiling, it's sloped over half the room) in Ellen Kennon's Summer Sky (which is exactly the color you'd think it is) and the bottom in Ellen Kennon's Buttercream (also the color you'd think it is, a creamy buttery color, just gorgeous). I will probably do the trim in cream.

Aren't you glad I only have 4 rooms to describe? :)

Themes?????? We're supposed to have themes?????? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Ummm.... Spartan???? :rotfl: cream walls all of them...... Sorry, I am so art and craft challenged, I would be an interior decorator's dream if I could afford one!

We are in the process of having a house built, so we are in the process of picking colors. The only definitive color I have picked is called "Infared" by C2, which is a very lovely shade of red for my dining room. As long as I can remember I have always wanted a red dining room :) .
