We own a week at Powhatan Plantation in Williamsburg, Va. It is a Sunterra resort. We trade through RCI. It is not super fancy or hotsy totsy but it works for the things we like. This summer we are meeting family in Branson

What other timeshares do you currently own?

My votes were Worldmark + Other(s). We enjoy timeshare-related travel nearly every month even if most trips are only weekends. We often invite family and friends -- which is (honestly) a whole lot of fun!!

I bought Marriott AFTER I bought DVC, because DVC restored my faith in timeshares. It was cheap and I walked in with my eyes open. It works well for us, when we want to just soak up the sun, we go to Marriott, about every 3 years or so. That's about the time when we have used up and borrowed all our DVC pts, and need to take a rest. We spent a week at Marriott at Christmas, Easter, and Christmas 2005. We use DVC for 3-5 extra nights each trip, and for our summer vacation.

We also own Sheraton Vistana (home resorts interchangeable between Orlando location and also the Beach Club on Hutchinson Island in SE FL). Of course, we prefer our DVC.

We also own a 3 bdrm at Marriott's Grande Vista, in addition to points at BWV and OKW. Use it mostly to trade(lock-off option), but will use it when a 2 bdrm at DVC isn't large enough.
