What other amusement/theme parks to you like

I have to chime in for Busch Gardens: Williamsburg as well. A really beautiful park that merges the rides into the scenery very well.

Cedar Point in sandusky ohio..
absolutely THE best amusement park in the US of A (WDW is not an amusement park)..

CP is the coaster capital of the world and just a really nice regional amusement park..

we used to go there for two day trips, but even 2 days wasn't enough to do everything..

I love Hershey Park. It's closer to me than Disney World and although it's not as good as Disney, it's probably a close second.

In Orlando...Universal is my personal favorite over WDW...always will be. Outside the state of Florida, I love going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg...beautiful park!

We loved it the year that we skipped WDW and did Universal, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. These are all very fun parks. But the teenaged DDs said afterwards, "That was fun ... but next time we want to go back to Disney World".

By the time of the next trip we had to visit USF/IOA again (because of Harry Potter) along with WDW, but again the kids said "we still like WDW" especially the Magic Kingdom.

With Diagon Alley/Gringott's coming down the pipe I'm sure the next trip will be the same, and with the same verdict ...

! I also like a VERY small park also in Pennslyvania called Waldameer. I think it's about the size of Fantasyland, but the kids like it and it is right on the shores of Lake Erie and the Presque Isle *****ula, which has some great beaches. They also have a MUCH better version of Primevil Whirl called Screaming Dragon that we love. The water log ride is NO Splash Mountain, but at the the bottom of the big hill are water shooters where you can put in a quarter and REALLY drench the riders with a big spray of water. Also they have "shows" that are ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS...and they ummmm, aren't comedy shows. I'm ony about 90 minutes from Cedar Point, but I haven't been in years. I LOVE the Raptor coaster though. I have no desire to go though because I'm just not a fan of walking from one 2 hour line to the next 2 hour line, ect..

I live in Erie so Waldameer is my local park.y daughter had a season pass and has already been about 5 times this summer.
I Love love love Cedar Point. We go for 2 days every summer. Only 19 days until our next trip. Then we can start the countdown to Disney 192 days.

My favorite is Hersheypark. I visited as a child and a couple of summers ago decided to take my daughter there for a long weekend. We had such a blast that we wound up going again that summer and for 2-3 long weekends every summer since. I reserve a suite at the Hotel Hershey for one stay and one at the Hershey Lodge for another - it's a fantastic way to relax too, especially at HH! Last summer my daughter asked if we could move in.. and all I've heard this summer is "When are we going to Hersheypark for the chocolate ride and my most favoritest hotel?" Two weeks dear, two weeks!

Dorney Park is another summer must-do for us and only a 45 minute drive. There's a ton to do there for my 4-year-old and the park itself is incredibly clean.

I agree with the comments about Knoebels - it's a great park. Great food, free parking, free entrance to the park, pay as you go ride tickets.

I live near Six Flags Great Adventure, and we go all the time, but whenever we go, we have to lower our expectations, because we're spoiled by Disney service.

First I have to laugh because I just realized this thread started in 2008 and what is strong then still is. I love Kennywood but am 20 minutes from Cedar Point so I am a platinum pass holder. I dont like how they revamped the rides so that pooh sized riders no longer fit, so it has forced me to get my butt up and lose some weight. Others I enjoy are Kings Island and I vote for the Apple store too.
