A SONG THAT HAS NOT BEEN RECENT
I FIND MY SELF LOVING THESE SONGS :cheer2:
ESCAPE BY RUPERT HOMES

DO YOU HAVE ANY OLDER SONG FAV?

Brown Eyed Girl (ok, maybe not too old, 1970s???) never gets boring! It always puts me in a good mood when I hear it!

I'm a nut for 1940s swing...had that 1940s station on in our plane with the free XM radio coming home from WDW and Boogy-Woogey Bugle Boy came on and I was dancing in my seat! That was the most relaxing and fun plane trip ever just because the music put me in such a good mood!

Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind"

Rolling Stones "Tumbling Dice"

Ebb Tide and Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers
Blue Eyes by Elton John.

Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate and anything at all from Barry White

What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

I bought it off of iTunes recently because of a video someone had posted on here that showed WDW pictures set to the song. I got to thinking about how much I loved the song so I bought it. :)

Anything by ABBA
most things by the beatles
Do you believe in magic?-david cassidy.

So far just about everything listed!

Anything by Abba, The Beatles, Niel Diamond, Elvis, or Dolly Parton makes me smile.

Oldies (but goodies!) make me happy, such as the one about being caught in the bathtub, the peanut butter one, and Charlie Brown.

Footloose, Danger Zone, and Paradise by the Dashboard Lights...

Moon River

I could go on and on and on... Today's music really doesn't do much for me, I wish I could have been alive when these were the most popular songs on the radio!

Oh, I am such a Carpenters junkie!

I'm on the Top of the World lookin' down on creation....

I don't think songs from the 70s and 80s should be called "old." Maybe that's because I am. But, still, I'll go with "Once In Love With Amy." If I WERE going with the 70s, I'd pick, "I Think I Love You."

"The Kids Are Alright" by "The Who".
Thanks. Now I've got "I don't mind...other guys dancing with my girl..." going through my head.

Grr. It's a good song, but I'm working tonight and will be singing it ALL NIGHT!

:)

In The Mood-Glenn Miller

actually, almost anything from Glenn Miller

Rhapsody in Blue-George Gershwin

some "newer" old songs:

Uptight (Everything's Alright)-Stevie Wonder

Sugar, Sugar-The Archies

Stuck on You-Elvis Presley

As Time Goes By &
Make Someone Happy-Jimmy Durante

Can't Help Myself-The Four Tops

Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head-BJ Thomas

"I'd Really Love To See You Tonight".....England Dan and John Ford Coley..and I have a million 70's cd's.....

Melancholy Serenade - Jackie Gleason

We're not old, but we listen to old music.

DS7 says his favorite songs are "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off."

DD4 says her favorite songs are "Dirty Water," "Sweet Caroline," "Daydream Believer," and Ella Fitzgerald's version of "Strike Up the Band."

My favorites: "Oh, What a Night" (reminds me of almost every wedding I have attended), anything Gershwin, but especially the songs featured in Crazy for You, "As Time Goes By" (my wedding song), and "Brandy." Why? It makes me think of DH, currently deployed in Iraq, and he does an awesome karaoke version of the song.

Everything I Own - Bread

You don't know me - Ray Charles

Anything Elvis.

I love Stormy Weather by Ella Fitzgerald
Puttin on the Ritz by Fred Astaire (pretty much everything he did)
Singing in the Rain by Gene Kelly
Fools Rush In (where angels fear to tread) by Frank Sinatra
I also love Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy by the Andrew Sisters :thumbsup2
