I mentioned this in passing over on the budget board but the more I think about it, the more I think it's a good idea. There is a site out there at www.ratetheoffers.com that is good for at least finding out which sites are the biggest scams and which aren't, but I thought it'd be nice to have something here. I know I am VERY wary about offers that ask for my credit card, but if I knew people who completed successfully then I'd take them up on their offer for free money, haha.

So I wanted to start a thread where we could all post which offers we've completed and with how much success so that we can have a reference point right here on the DIS. This way we can warn each other about the tue scams and point each other towards the good offers. Plus, I know I don't like a hassle when cancelling - in fact I prefer to do it in writing so that I don't have spend 30 minutes on hold and another 20 having them trying to resell me products. I thought others mght find info on how to cancel useful so we can decide if it's worth the time and effort to try and cancel.

I hope I'm not violating any of the rules, if so then go ahead and delete this mods.

So I'm thinking if we post info such as:
Name of offer:
Rewards site used:
Credit from offer:
Cost of offer:
Length of trial (if applicable):
Ease of cancellation:
How to cancel:

*** be careful with offers from this company though, Trilegient - they've been known to charge people for OTHER products of theirs and I fought them for a long time before they finally cancelled an account for something I didn't sign up for. . . I know, I should have learned my lesson, but since they wouldn't refund 9 months of charges I've been getting it back from them by signing up for offers and doing everything in writing and keeping a close eye on my CC so I can threaten them again if they try anything. . . I've done 3 more offers since they got me and so far no problems doing it in writing***

I just did the Ebay link on CR. I made an Ebay account and bid on a Disney lanyard for a penny (listed price), knowing that particular pin goes for more than $3 usually. Easy 1000 points!
