What % of ADR's do u...

We've cancelled Tuskar House breakfast the last two trips - mostly because we were lazy and didn't want to get up so ealy to go to AK before RD. Otherwise, we have made most others but we usually have around 20 ADRs per trip.

What's so terrible about cancelling ADRs? I cancel all the time because our plans change. If a park is too crowded, we park hop to a different park. I cancel an ADR if it's in the crowded park and make one somewhere else.

ADRs are flexible. If I'm not there, someone else is seated. I give them a heads up by cancelling so a walk in or a late phone request can be accomodated. It's not like the table goes empty if there is demand.

We do always make all of our ADRs, although I know sometimes things happen and it's not possible (someone gets sick, etc.) We always do just one ADR per day of each trip, so it's easy to keep them.

We don't make all that many ADRs (at most 1/day), but we've never canceled on vacation either. I did make an ADR for upcoming trip for Teppan Edo that I canceled about 2 days later when we decided to try a new (to us) restaurant instead.

With the exception of our last trip when our flight was canceled due to the blizzard and we missed our first 2 days of ADRs, we go to 100% of the reservations we make. I am actually pleasantly surprised that the people who responded go to a high percentage of theirs as well.

We actually know people who make ADRs at different places for the same time and then only go to the ones they feel like going to at the time. I would say their percentage is very low.:rolleyes1

On our last trip, which was our first, I got a little overzealous with the ADR's and we only made 2 out of 8 (and yes, I called and cancelled the ones we did not make). This next trip, I am only making 2 that are have to's for our family and the rest will be CS. I realized that it didn't work for us to have to be somewhere at a certain time. We're more of the eat when we're hungry types and we realize that will mean most if not all the rest of our meals will be CS.

Last trip, we had 9 days of DxDDP and cancelled one: our first night dinner. Despite checking into the Poly at 8:30 a.m. that morning, our room wasn't ready until after 5 p.m. My kids, in need of their usual Disney mid-day rest, were fried and we just couldn't push ourselves to make it in time.

Family trip before that was 10 days of DxDDP and we cancelled one as well but it was toward the end of the trip when we decided we didn't want to return to DHS one last time.

I go to about 95%. Barring illness or bad weather I'm almost always at my ADR. I feel if I make the ADR I should be there otherwise I'm cheating someone else out of a possible ADR.

We also make 100% of our ADRs. We too spends mo this planning and deciding what resturaunts we want to enjoy, so we make it a priority to show up.

I've showed up at ADR's 40 minutes early and been seated soon thereafter. This worked out great for us, especially in Epcot, where being on the other side of the WS can be a bummer if you need to backtrack;)

Of all my visits, only missed one ADR in Epcot (PS then 2003) because it was a Monsoon rain and we had to duck-in somewhere else and wait it out.

It was that way for me too, in the beginning. Then the kids got older and sitting down at a TS restaurant started happening more and more:wizard:
