What number to call for smallest deposit...

I read in a Disney book somewhere that if you call one disney phone number you pay first night plus something else. And that if you book thru another number for disney you pay a different deposit.
Which do I call for cheapest deposit and where do i find the number?

I believe that if you are booking a room only reservation, you will just pay for the first night of your stay as a deposit, then you will pay the balance when you arrive. But, if you are booking a package, you have to put down a $200.00 deposit and pay the balance off by 45 days before your trip. As far as I know, these rules are the same no matter which Disney number you call to book.

Just to add to what Shagley said, the "package" is anything but just a room (ie adding tickets and or dining) depending where you stay depends which options will have the "cheaper" deposit.

Keep in mind, the cancellation policies are different, 45 days in advance for a package and 5 days in advance for room only

I think they were talking about Central reservations and the Disney Travel Company. I think CRO used to do room only and DT did packages but now you can call either # and make either a room only or a package. 1-800-828-0228. The other # is 407-????? Just use the toll free one
