Hey! Just wondering what your thoughts are on what not miss for dining with two DS ages 3 and 6. We are going in Dec. Have not decided on the dining plan or not. We are staying at OKW so we will have a kitchen.

Thanks!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have a 3yr old and almost 6yr old.
They have liked:
Sci Fi in MGM
Ohana's for breakfast and dinner
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's
and many more
Enjoy

Definitely Chef Mickey's - the first visit there for my kids was an unforgettable experience, and at the time, DD was not exactly "character crazy". CM's changed all that because they came to her, she didn't have to GO to them!!!

Sci Fi definitely if they're not afraid of the dark!

I hope you have a magical trip!!!!

First I would say definitely go with the dining plan. For $10 a day (approximate) you can do the character meals and just relax.

Here are my kids favorite places:

Chef Mickeys
Sci-Fi
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern
Kona Cafe (they love the Kiddie Kone dessert)
and believe it or not my ds (5) just loves Restaurant Marrakesh!

CP (lunch or dinner), Biergarten and Mama Melrose are my kids' favorites - they are 4 and 8 (now - but have been when younger too and those are still the favs).

CP - food is excellent - much better than Chef Mickeys - Pooh story characters

Biergarten - great atmosphere - make an ADR so you can see the band which plays often. It isn't quiet or stuffy - good place to go if you like to whoop it up

Mama's - I have no idea - we all just like it!

Sci Fi is good too and so was Whispering Canyon.

My boys were 4 and 6 when we went last time. They loved Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Whispering Canyon. We're returning to those places on our upcoming trip, too. The food and atmosphere combined make these places good for kids.

Our daughter, absolutely loved it. I believe it's still around. You just need to check.

We're also going in December, DD will be 6 and DS will be 3! Maybe we'll see you there...

In Epcot my DD LOVES the Biergarten restaurant, mainly because of the oompah band and polka dancing. She talks about it all the time. Great for younger kids because it's a high-energy, noisy place - you don't have to worry about their behavior.

At Magic Kingdom, the Crystal Palace character meal was a big hit with our whole group. My kids also liked the Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner (during Halloween Party, not sure if there are characters at dinner during non-party times).

In MGM the Sci-Fi Drive-in was fun, they really liked eating in the cars.

At Animal Kingdom, some kids like Rainforest Cafe. I'm personally not a fan, but if you don't have one near you at home it may be worth looking into. I've only eaten at the one at Downtown Disney, but have heard that the one at Animal Kingdom is a little bit better.

My kids also love 'Ohana, especially all of the great activities they have for kids. We've only done the dinner there, but are looking forward to trying the Lilo & Stitch breakfast in December.

Have a good time!

It's not dining but I signed up DS5 for the pirate cruise at the GF. There's also a cruise from the Epcot resorts and from POR.
