When did that happen? The kids and I have been talking about it all week. Why did they take them away? :(

I hate petting zoos. Those animals are so aggressive....like animals!

Really though, I'm sure it's a liability thing if someone were to get bit. I also don't trust little ones to always treat the animals kindly.

The only petting zoo I've ever enjoyed is the one in Rafikis at AK. They have a little roped off pen that the animals can escape to if they want to be left alone.

Oh, mine never touch the animals. They just like looking. Bummer!

We JUST discovered this by browsing AK on the WDW website. AK was an afterthought on our last trip, so we had no idea that was there. That will satisfy my kids' desire to gaze into a sheep's eyes. :)

Actually, when they took away the petting animals from FW, they brought them to AK - so you'll see the same animals. And, don't worry about touching them. Just teach your kids to not touch them on their faces, so they don't risk getting bit. They can touch their backs, etc. (I'm thinking of the goats). It's a nice learning opportunity, and the kids love it!

There are hand-washing stations to use when they're done too! :)
