As everyone clamors for new attractions, the conversation inevitably moves toward the lack of attractions in Epcot's World Showcase and the need to pull crowds toward that end of the park.
So, if we want a new ride we might as well want a new country as well. What country would you like to see? And what type of ride would you envision in that new pavilion??

How about working with what's there? Rhine River ride that was never built in Germany. High speed train ride for Japan. WOL building. Imagination building has a second floor that isn't used. I could go on and on. Anyway I would like to see them utilize what is there before adding anything.

As a happily married sport nut of a guy, I voted other because I still think the Svedish bikini ski team needs a land! :thumbsup2 Afterall, scenery is my favorite part of world showcase (after beer of course). pirate:

Iran.

But seriously Russia, India, Egypt, or anything from South/Central America would all be fantastic.

My vote is for Brazil....

1. Restaurant would be awesome! It could copy the bar on Disney Dream+Fantasy that overlooks major cities. The restaurant could pretend to overlook Rio at night (or actually overlook part of the ride and/or the pavilion itself. Could be signature restaurant if done right.

2. The ride could go through Amazon, Rio, Iguazu Falls, Minas Gerais, Beaches, etc.... Ride should have an element of thrill to it...not just a Gran Fiesta Tour. I'm thinking boat with a few drops? Nothing to get you too wet, but a little more steep than Pirates. Or maybe pretend boat that is actually on a track to allow for a little zip up, down and around corners? Like

3. Entertainment could be Carnival Samba dancing, although a little less toplessness and a little less overt sexualizing of the dancing. And, in the pavilion they have little Jedi Academy, only for Samba dancing. So kids could sign up for a 1/2 hour at a Samba school.

4. Somehow, we have to work soccer into the pavilion....

Brazil! The food! The music! Capoeira and samba demonstration in the streets! But best of all, a permanent home for José Carioca!

Now that I'm done laughing (I think), I'll say that any of those would be great.

Russia -- Main structure based on St. Basil's Cathedral, Kazachok dances, etc...

Australia -- Main structure based on Sydney Opera House (actually, on reflection, I think Australia would make an interesting new area in AK)

India -- Main structure based on Taj Mahal, great food, etc...

Brazil -- Not sure what the main structure would be, but would be nice to have some South American culture represented in WS

If I was forced to pick just one? I think I'd go with India just because it would provide the greatest contrast with what is already in WS (that and it will soon be the most populous nation in the world)

Well, at least until 7pm. Or during Food and Wine, when apparently all the patrons are topless and drunk and dancing anyway.....
:thumbsup2

Another vote for Brazil. Endless possibilities.

We should encourage all the BTG's to do their chanting and songs and clapping right outside the African Outpost in support of a Brazil pavilion! ;)

Brazil or Australia. Good food options, and Australia could bring in something kangaroo and koala bear themed, two of my favorite animals :thumbsup2

I want to say India, but I feel like that would be too much food overlap with things already in Disney. Since Russia is currently on my [insert bad word here] list, I'm voting Brazil! It would be nice to eventually see every continent represented. I like pp's suggestion of incorporating Australia into AK rather than here.

Australia would be so cool, as long as the attraction isn't opera. Maybe a trip through the outback
