Turned 18 a few weeks ago and my main present (booked ages ago) is a solo trip to WDW on september 4th. I got my new passport in July, my esta is done, travel insurance sorted, WDW is all paid for and I received my Disney travel documents yesterday.

Am I having a dumb moment and forgetting anything vital? I don't think I am, but wanted to double check with one of you who visit a lot!

Inform your bank that you will be going so they don't stop your bank card. And have you sorted out your spending money.

How are you getting to and from the airport in the UK and USA?

Have you completed your Advanced Passenger Information with the company you are flying with?

That's the thing my mum was most worried about so she's taking me to the airport here (only a 30 min drive anyway) and then I'll be getting the Magical Express ^_^

Ooh, gotta do that too. Food money isn't an issue- dining plan. We have a family friend who moved to NYC 5 years ago so she gave me $50 for my 18th, my brother gave me $60 and I've saved quite a bit too :D

Thank you! I was originally going with my sister and niece next may, but my parents are separated and my dad offered to pay for a solo trip!

Don't forget you will need money to cover your tips, even if you have the dining plan

Only if you are eating at a table service. Not if you have quick service dining plan x

Yes, except I just wanted to make sure the OP was aware - as far as I can see she hasn't mentioned which DP she has. Also, we do tend to leave a tip at places like Wolfgang Puck Express, where they bring your food to you.

Plus, you need tips for ME driver/baggage handlers.

Yeah I didn't mean it as you were wrong just so she didn't worry that she would need to find money to tip every time she ate.

Yes my card was stopped but I didn't know until I was paying thank goodness for our credit card.
Have a wonderful time x
