What must I do with my 1 year old at Disney?

I'm just wondering if there is anything, (rides, foods, anything) that your toddler just loved while at Disney. Me and DH want this trip to be all about DS! He loves Playhouse Disney and I have a feeling he'll like the characters too since he's pretty bold. My only hope is that he'll be walking so he can have a little more mobility. We are at that frustrating stage where he doesn't want to be held, but I can't let him crawl around on concrete.

Thanks!

Have a meal at the crystal palace. he will love pooh and tigger. i would take him on all of the rides without height restrictions. snow white is a little dark and scary but a 1 year old probably won't be scared. We took our daughter when she was 11 months and she loved everything. this year we are taking our baby who will be 13 months when we go. if your baby isn't too big you can carry him around the the baby bjorn. our daughter loved it and it is so much easier than maneuvering a stroller around. she even slept in it. of course you will want to have a stroller as a back up. we brought one and just parked it somewhere until we needed it. Travelling with a 1 year old will be easy! much easier than when he is 2 or 3. Enjoy!:flower3:

You will have a great trip.

Check out the play areas...they have the cushioned flooring and are great to let little ones stretch out and run around, especially if they just learned to walk and want to practice every waking moment (then comes climbing!).

A hip hammock or some kind of sling carrier is great for lines and rides, especially if the little guy is getting sleepy.

My daughter loved It's A Small World -- so much to see and very sweet.

There are baby care areas at each park and are cool and calm and also sell supplies if you run out of something.

Maybe a light up toy (we love the Disney Store light up fans) for the dark rides in case baby is hot or scared or you are!

Our DS at 15 months loved the water play area at Donald's Boat in Toon Town. Bring a dry change of clothes for after.

I would go to Playhouse Disney at MGM. At the Magic Kingdom, you could ride the Carousel,It's a small world,go to Toon Town and see Mickey,Minnie,Pluto, etc.

Our ds just turned 1 yr old when we went and he loved the soft play area by Mickey's House in Magic Kingdom. He also dug the dancing waters at Ariels Grotto and all of the rides he could fit onto. We were happy that we had brought his stroller because he loved strolling around looking at everything. He wasn't a walker when we went, but he loved crawling around any chance he got. He was definately our easy kid that trip!
