There's a movie, and I can't remember anything else about it, but one of the main characters ends up getting drugged at some point in the movie. Then you see from his point of view a few brief glimpses of a series of adventures until he wakes up.

I just watched the movie Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz and they did that in this movie, but I remember this being done in another movie as well.

Nope, it's not Fear and Loathing.

Phors, you never know with me!

It's the Ambien, I tell ya.

The *original* "Death at a Funeral"? Hilarious British comedy. One character gives another what she thought was Valium, but it was really a hallucinogen. Hilarity ensues. Even if it's not the one you're thinking of, rent it - it's SO funny. But not the new American remake that just came out. Get the original.

Was it The Hangover? The groom disappears during a wild night that none of the other guys can remember and they go through a series of adventures trying to figure out what happened to him.

It wasn't Death at a Funeral -- never saw it. It's possible it was The Hangover, but I don't really recall seeing anything from the groom's point of view in the movie. Was there?

This is going to drive me nuts.

How about "Go"? That movie is about 10 years old, though, so I don't know if you're thinking of something more recent.

Are you sure you aren't thinking The Hangover? Remember half the movie is about finding the groom. There are lots of flashbacks about being with the groom and then loosing the groom and then you see the groom flashback about the same night.

Might be this one.

The Night Before (1988)

Plot Summary:

Winston Connelly wakes up in the middle of the night in an alley with no idea of how he got there. Nor does he know where in Los Angeles he is or why he is wearing a beat-up tuxedo. Through a series of flashbacks, he remembers that he was sidetracked on his way to the prom the night before. In the meantime, he has to figure out what happened to his wallet, his car keys, his date, and why a pimp named Tito wants him dead.

Keanu Reeves and Lori Loughlin are the only actors that I recognize.

Could be a David Lynch movie...he does that a lot. Maybe Mulholland Drive? Twin Peaks had several drug/dream sequences too.

Hmmm, I don't think it's any of the movies mentioned. I went and looked at a summary of The Hangover and I don't think that's it either. I am fairly certain that the movie is somewhat recent, like in the past 5 years. It would have been something I've seen on a movie channel or pay-per-view. I also don't think it was a serious movie, but rather a comedy/action film.

Is that the whole premise of the movie or just a part of it? Can you remember anything else at all?

From another point of view, there are some things we have to accept that we're not going to remember. Like the name of my son's second grade teacher. Or his boss two years ago. This may be the case with this problem. Mind you, if anyone can help, then the DIS is certainly the place to get info.:goodvibes

It's just a part of it.

I can remember that it was a male character and it was another male character taking him through the adventures. At one point, he'd come to on a plane with the other character getting ready to jump out with him and a parachute, then the other character would knock him out again. Then he'd come to in another exciting scene before getting knocked out again. It was funny.

The exact thing happened in Knight and Day with the Tom Cruise character doing it to Cameron Diaz and my husband and I started laughing and said we'd seen that in another movie not too long ago and neither one of us can figure out what it was!

Oh, I'm like a dog with a bone with things like this! I swear, I'll drive myself crazy and will have asked all my friends before it's all said and done. Like you said, my best bet was the DIS, but I do have a few friends who are movie buffs, so someone might know.

Male character taking him through adventures that line reminds me of Inception as they build dreams and stuff.
