What movie is this? And Asian guy plays a video game all day in a 7-11

When we went to see Prince of Persia today, I thought of a video game from the '80s because this movie is based on some video game.

That then made me remember a movie where an Asian guy spends his days playing a the video game in a 7-11 kind of place.

He then joins some other kids or something to do something important, but I don't remember who they are or what they needed him for . What the heck movie am I thinking of, and what was that video game? I can't even remember if this was a real '80s movie or if it was just a movie set in the '80s. It was one of the first 3-D looking games. Oh wait - Dragon's Lair maybe?

The video game I'm thinking of was called Dragon's Lair, but I don't know for sure if that's what this Asian guy was playing in the movie I'm thinking of.

I'm not sure of a movie, but in one of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books there is a kid that plays some dragon game in a 7-11.

I just looked up Sisterhood, and I think that must be what I'm thinking of. The funny thing is I even own that movie . I guess it's time I watch it again.

I am thinking of Sisterhood for sure, but I think I may be thinking of another movie, too, and mixing them together . The character in Sisterhood is Brian McBrian.

Tibby is making a movie on her time off from working at a Wal Mart type store, since her 3 BFFs are all out of town having their own adventures. Bailey, the little girl Tibby met when she passed out in the store, tags along. They interview people in town for a documentary, and Brian McBrian is one of their subjects. He plays Dragon's Lair in the 7-11 and wants to have the all time high score.

Later in the movie, Tibby finds out Bailey is dying of leukemia. She and Brian become close when he helps her grieve after Bailey's death. In the second SOfTTP movie, Brian and Tibby break up after spending the night together and Tibby has a pregnancy scare. They get back together at the end of the movie, though. He doesn't play any video games in the second movie.
