My story is a little different. My husband and I had both been married before. We had discussed getting married and he suggested that I ask him, just to be different. I had no problem with this and immediately set out to think of a different and unusual way to propose. Well, the country band Lonestar was coming to town that August. This happening in 1998. A local radio station was sponsering them so I called the radio station and asked if they could help me. They suggested that I get up on stage with the band and propose. I thought that this was a great idea because we both love Lonestar. While we were there listening to them play I told my husband that I needed to go to the restroom. I went behind the bandshell as it was an outside concert. Then Ritchy and lead singer invited up on stage and then I proposed. Ritchy got my husband up on stage and then the played a song called "The Ring". It was very exciting. After that the local newspaper interviewed us. We got married in April of 1999. We will be celebrating our 5th anniversary on the Wonder this April!!!!
I told him I loved him, but I wanted us to take our time. After all, we were both in college at the time. He asked me again later with the ring, but for the life of me I can't remember when. We actually already considered ourselves engaged from the very beginning.

I did some searching through cash registers receipts. Smart man, put it in my manager's name! I still figured it out, since her engagement ring was 3 times bigger than mine! LOL!
