It would be great if you could write in why the ship did not dock: weather, medical emergency, other...
Thanks!

March-bad weather. This was a few weeks after the Magic got stuck overnight at CC.

We dd not dock in November (2001) because of weather. It was too windy. After three different attempts, each an hour apart, we waved goodbye :sad:and had a day at sea. It was our first Disney cruise and the three after that we have docked no problem!:yay:

A few years ago a Diser compiled all the statistics on when the ship did not dock at CC...it was for a few years I think.

In the whole scheme of things I think it was a small percentage.

Ok...I found one thread from 2003 but that is not the comprehensive one I was thinking of....but it does give a percentage from that time on post #25.

popcorn::

In December of this year we couldnt dock on our CC day and the captain knew that before we went there so we switched our sea day and then docked at CC the next day...I didnt vote since we did dock, but thought I would share that sometimes there are other options:goodvibes

Poll did not allow two choices.

January 2011 - weather - Panama Canal Cruise
September 2008 - weather - 5 night double dip - became only a single dip

In Feb of last year the Wonder did not dock due to weather on our 3 night cruise.

Just like the PP, ours was Feb 2010, 3 day due to weather.........cold and windy. I think it was a week before the one that got stuck on CC.

We were not able to dock at CC during the Wonder Panama Canal cruise, January 7 :headache:

The captain made several attempts but the wind was blasting the ship directly against the side of the ship pushing it towards the pier. As we were backing in we started to blow right past the pier.

First time in four cruises we didn't get to CC. We were able to make it during our December, October, and August cruises.

Both times we didn't make it was the last cruise starting in Feb and ending in March, I voted as February. First time was wind, second time was medical.

Amazing that you have that recollection! I can't remember what I did on our cruise 2 weeks ago! ;)
Not very scientific, but I was curious given the recent post about missing CC for the medical emergency.

Thanks, I was curious about the distribution even, as un-scientific as such a cursory glance is!

I was just on the Dream 3/3-3/6 and were not able to dock at Castaway Cay on 3/5. The crew tried several times to dock but the winds were to high to safely dock. Each room did receive a $45 credit.
