Not crazy thunder rain but the sustained, raining for hours with no sign of letting up. Still doable with a poncho.

That's today at DHS. Considering extending stay by one day to delay magic kingdom if too many rides close with all day moderate rain.

Outdoor rides close - so, BTMRR for sure! Splash mountain.....I can't think of any other's right this minute. But basically if they are all outdoor, they close. And I need to add, it's not the rain but thunder that causes the closure.

OP, I don't know the exact answer to your question. But I wanted to tell you that I rode EE at AK in february during a driving rain/windstorm. I was all "ponchoed up" and got on the ride with no wait at all, and was so proud of myself for toughing out the rain while everyone else was huddled under cover.

But then I figured out that it's not fun to ride a fast roller coaster in a heavy rain/wind storm! The rain was pelting me in the face so hard that it hurt! The EE ride photo showed me huddled under my poncho hood, trying to protect my face from the stinging rain pellets, muttering, "Wow, what a great idea this was!" :lmao:

We were at MK today and Big Thinder Mountain qas running, as were Dumbo, Magic
carpets, The Barnstormer, Speedway, people mover, astro orbiter, and splash mountain.

They also have the 7 dwarfs on trial runnings all day long.

So not really sure which rides close, we disnt see any, but, the parade and all outside parties were cancelled

Nothing closes for just rain.

This. Unless there is lightening in the area or something else that could threaten guests, the rides will be open. My boys and I have all ridden Astro Orbiter when it was pour down rain...and it was a blast even though we were drenched.

Was at MK earlier this week with thunderstorms and lightning. I understood the rule to be to shut down all outdoor rides if lightning is within a 10 mile radius. Outdoor rides were running after lightning passed but still raining. Rides I specifically remember being closed due to lightning include: BTMRR, SpM, Tomm Speedway, Jungle Cruise, Dumbo, Aladdin's Carpet Ride. They were using Mickey's Philharmagic as a shelter for those wishing to get out of the weather. Also, was surprised that the Carousel was still running.

And here we are with another day of all day rain, by the looks of the radar and the weather reported. It's getting hard to stay upbeat about it, especially since it isn't even warm today-- it's 70 and not going to rise much more than that.

We come here often enough that this isn't a total disaster for us, but I feel for the people who don't. It's essentially rained a good part of the day all week. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and then we leave!
