What makes you an oddball?

OK, so today has just been one of those days. I am trying to get my life back and trying to figure out just "who" I am. So in the process of just thinking things over, I've figured out that I really am a little on the odd side.

For instance, why, do I always seem to "crush" on the strange or unusual people? Not necessarily that the people or strange (well maybe some of them), but more over, their relationship to me.

What is it that makes you feel odd?

I prefer the term goofball. I just find that when I start taking things too seriously, I look for something to make me laugh. There's nothing wrong with being different and I think it makes you more interesting.

I have a very bizarre (some call it "sick," but who needs labels? ) sense of humor and a lot of the time, I'll make myself laugh even when everyone around me is looking at me like, "What the hell is wrong with you?"

I always figure when I stop amusing myself, that's when it's time to pull the plug.

I enjoy being alone. Everyone is always trying to get me to go out or encouraging me to have people over. The truth is, I'd rather be alone. Nobody believes me though!

I started College at 16 so I've always been an outcast.. It use to bother me when I was younger because "children" can be so mean.. Now I can look back and say they were Just Jealous..

What ISN'T odd about me? Even my mother tells people that I'm weird. And my coworkers call me the office freak.

Since we must label people, the most obviously weird thing about me is that I'm goth. I wear a lot of black, have a skull and cross fetish, I listen to the music, I read Neil Gaiman and Roman Dirge and Edward Gorey, I think Robert Smith from The Cure is hot and that Tim Burton is a genius...stuff like that.

I'm also not very girly. Yeah, I wear makeup and nail polish, my hair has to be just so, I have a tendency to get clingy and needy and insecure, but other than that, not too girly. I've always had more guy friends that girl friends.

I consider it NORMAL but I've somehow ALWAYS known I was different. My blessing was my parents accepted who I was and my Mom's favorite line... to my VERY judgemental sisters... "she's not HURTING anybody, so leave her alone!"

I've always worn only black.... I remember my sister calling my Mom when I went to visit her and telling her that I would NOT change and put on colors. I was ten.

I REFUSE to get married... I've told this story a thousand times, I've been engaged 7 times and have never gone thru with it. Not that I'm afraid of it or any other crazy thing, I just don't want to live with someone! Never have either.

That's just TWO of the things that make me an oddball.... we don't have enough space for the rest ....
