What makes SAB so special??

to winnie the pooh fan and jadedNYer...don't get concerned about the pool !!!!!!

It is worth the stay to be able to go to this pool...

we were there last year with our 7 and 4 year old DD's and spent half a day enjoying the pool....

the sandy bottom area is easy to watch from a lounge chair and they need to get out to get into the lazy river area.....it is enjoyable to ride the lazy river WITH your kids....the slide does have a height restriction for little ones as it empties into a deeper area, but there is a small slide area that the 4 yr old loved!!!!....the whirlpool area was a blast, a current pushing you around in a circle about 20 ft diameter.....

I think it could be considered a replacement for a water park for younger kids that are not old enough to do the more advanced things at a water park...my 2 had just as much fun as they did at Typhoon lagoon

I would not be concerned about the pool at all. Since you are going to WDW in the slow season the pool will not be as crowded as in the summer by any means. I did not have any trouble keeping track of DH and DD. They were in plain site the whole time. It is long but fairly thin. We stay at the BC for 3 reasons, the first being SAB, the second is the location and the third is the theme! Try something new and I don't think you will be disappointed.

We were there over Memorial day weekend and never had a problem. Our son is 6 and he loved it. The first few times we did walk him over to the stairs for the slide, but he soon got the hang of it. DH would wait in the water (near the rope) and I sat in a lounge chair right there. When he would tire of the slide, we would swim to other areas with at least one of us with him. He had a ball!!!!
