What makes CL worth the cost?

Again no offense was intended to those who use CL but as usual, it seems as though some took offense.
I think CL might only be worth it if you had a very large party, and thats how i feel, sorry if it bugs you.
But as another poster said , there are a ton of things i could do with the extra cash, that FOR ME outweigh the expense.
Since OP question was what makes it worth it, i answered to what i thought it was worth.

Which is exactly why i do not stay there. And would not. No need to get snippy because you do not like my answer to OP.

I wasn't offended. I don't take anything personally on boards. I just like to offer personal experiences to help people. I also gain insight from other peoples experiences. Not pushy or snippy. Just enthusiastic and happy.:goodvibes

If you stay CL, at the Poly for example, and have family that is staying non-CL...can they go into the lounge with you to watch the fireworks etc?
Non-CL guests are not supposed to be permitted in the lounge. The lounge seating, snacks and that wonderful fireworks view are among the perks that the CL guests are paying the premium price for.

Oh bummer. Ok, thanks for the info :)

I have stayed both at CL and non-CL at the same resorts. Like I said, I cannot justify the cost. My wife loves it though, but that is because she enjoys lounging around the resort.

My opinion...You can go to 3-4 ice dinners/breakfasts, etc. for the cost of CL. Fun to do once in a while, but I would not do it all the time.

Isn't this the same for the deluxe resort pool areas? I know WDW does not normally enforce this.

Well, let's see...Disney has a big ol' fence around Stormalong Bay and a CM checking for resort IDs so that you can't just stroll in if you're not staying there. And every CL level on the property requires a room key for entry. So it appears that Disney does try to enforce those rules to some degree. But just like everything else when it comes to Disney and their rules, there are those who will circumvent them when given the opportunity. :)

Yup, i doubt if WDW will kick out a guest if visiting a CL guest. Or banish them to a none CL area while they visit. As with the pools, they don't have any way to stop a guest from going to Poly just to use the volcano pool.

Don't know if it's ever worth the cost.

Our last 4 trips have been CL, we spent a lot of time at the resort. There's anywhere from 7 to 10 of us at a time and CL seem to work for our family.

Although it's not for everyone, we love CL. We do not do the Dining Plan but take whatever discount Disney is offering.

Hey folks .. just a gentle reminder that after all is said and done, the posts on these boards must comply with the Posting Guidelines (http://www.wdwinfo.com./guidelines.htm) .. including measure # 2 - Profanity and the Profanity Filter

Simply put, don't use swear words and don't post or link to suggestive or inappropriate photos. The boards are equipped with censoring software. If you try to use a profanity, it will be filtered and appear as all asterisks. Please don't get creative in an attempt to bypass the filters. This is considered the same as using the word itself and will result in an infraction. If you post or link to pornography, you'll be banned from our site

Rather than make Swiss cheese out of this thread, I've brought the posts into alignment with the policy and skipping the warnings/infractions.

Thanks in advance,

Knox
