I bypassed the stollen on our May cruise- too many baaaaad memories of the stale stollen my grandmother used to buy at Schnuck's (St. Louis- area grocery store). But I'm def. going to have to try it on our next cruise.
Its more casual than dinner...I didn't see anyone wearing shorts or jeans but slacks and a shirt were what most were wearing...no suits or anything crazy like that.
Dressing for brunch is resort casual. My DH was in dockers and polo shirt and I was in a capris and a top. They request no shorts which some people ignored.
OK as a yank in NorthCentral Pennsylvania, I'll bite... what the heck is Stollen.... I googled it on the great big search of everything and found that it's German bread? is there a sign on the stollen bar at Palo's so I know where to find it?
Stollen is a sweet bread with this almond paste swirled through it. It is heaven!
Palo brunch is the best. From the moment you walk in and are handed a flute of champagne......need I say more?
The brandy sauce is awesome with the stone crab legs and the Tilapia is the best fish dish onboard. The tiramisu at dinner is better than the brunch, but still good. And the sweet pizza is AWESOME. Order one to go and save it for breakfast the next morning! Yummy.
The crab legs are served on ice. My DH thought is was the BEST meal on board the ship and wished he could eat there every morning! ITA with all of the other posters: the food, the view, the service, more relaxed...but I would add one other bonus-no children allowed! I am not anti-kids by any means, I love seeing them enjoy the Disney atmosphere, the little girls in their princess dresses, all the kids hugging the characters, but it was nice to have that break for a little while in an adult-only atmosphere.

Glad I wasn't the only one reading this thread WONDERing what "stollen" was!
DW and I have never really considered the brunch, after reading this thread perhaps we should. We're skipping dinner at Palo's once more next week, then finally plan to indulge on the 7 night Eastern in April.
